O.K. IS IT JUST ME OR IS ANY ONE ELSE ON THIS SITE DEPRESSED? I'V HAD GOOD DAY'S AND BAD. JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HERE. BUT EVERYONE ALWAYS SEEMS SO UP BEAT. I'V TRIED TO BE PATIENT AND BRAVE. BUT IT ALL SEEMS SO HOPELESS. ANOTHER YEAR GONE BY. AND I'M STILL NOT WITH THE ONE I LOVE. HOW MANY MORE TO COME? IT 5 MONTHS SINCE I LAST WAS WITH MY LOVE. BUT NOW I CANT SEE WHEN THE NEXT TIME WILL BE. ITS SO EXPENSIVE. MY LOVE IS CLINICALLY DEPRESSED FROM ALL OF THIS. BUT HOW MUCH MORE CAN A SOUL TAKE? AND FOR WHAT? A/P FOR 1 YEAR AFTER THE INTERVIEW. THEY SAID WE WOULD HER FROM THEM IN 1 MONTH. WELL ITS BEEN A YEAR AS OF 11/14/07. SO ACTUALLY IT IS MORE THEN A YEAR NOW. AND NO END IN SITE. HOW DO YOU TRY TO MAKE YOUR LOVED ONE FEEL ANY BETTER WHEN THERE IS NO END IN SITE. AND FROM HALF A WORLD AWAY. IT ONLY MAKES IT MORE UNBEARABLE. YOU CANT COMFORT FROM A WORLD AWAY. I CANT GIVE HOPE BECAUSE I HARDLY HAVE ANY MYSELF. THERE SHOULD BE A LAW THAT THIS IS CRUEL AND UNUSAUL PUISHMENT FOR THE CRIME OF FALLING IN LOVE. THER SHOULD BE A LIMIT ON HOW LONG THE CAN TORMENT PEOPLE LIKE THIS. EVEN A NO WOULD GIVE SOME COMFORT AT THIS POINT. BECAUSE THEN WE WOULD HAVE THE LUXUARY OF TRING TO MAKE PLANS FOR A FUTURE TOGETHER IN HIS COUNTRY. LIMBO STINKS BIG TIME. HOPELESS, DEBBIE

Flippant shallow words from a married Kanook waiting for a K1. Wow, just what we need here. You have NO IDEA what waiting in limbo is like. Enjoy your journey, and don't apply your shallow experience to people who wait from across the world to be with the one they love.

To the one who posted: Yes, the frustration, waiting, and limbo take you down, some days more than others. I remember when we thought we would be done or almost done by now, when we filed the approval process only took 3-4 months, with another couple months to get through State. Now, we don't know when we will see each other again. I wish you and the ones like you the best, especially during the holidays. I know this, that the waiting and the distance and the uncertainty have somehow made us grow closer and stronger. When we get through this, I don't believe there is a more difficult experience or greater test of a marriage relationship.

Regards, and best to you

Excuse me D&N but in no way was I being flippant.

I sincerely meant for the poster to hang in there, many people on the boards are going through this. I simply kept my response short and sweet.

You don't know me and I don't know you.

I am the farthest thing from shallow and just because I live closer to my boyfriend than some other people doesn't mean it doesn't hurt just as much to be away from the person I love.

For you to completely disrespect me like you have just done is insulting and uncalled for.

Have a nice day.

DEAR DAVID THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. I THOUGHT THE KANOOK WAS SHALLOW TOO. BUT I'M SO DEPRESSED I THOUGHT IT WAS MAYBE ME BEING SENSITIVE. I SEE YOU ARE IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME. THERE IS COMFORT IN MISERY WHEN YOU FELL SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH.I WROTE MY POST WITHOUT READING THE TOPIC OF TODAY. THEREA ARE MANY DEPRESSED TODAY. I GUESS ITS BECAUSE THE BUSY TIMES OF THIS HOLIDAY ARE PAST NOW. AND NOW WE HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH OUR LOVED ONES ARE MISSED. I PRAY YOUR WAIT IS SHORTER THEN MINE. BY THE WAY THE KANOOK NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL ME WHAT A OFF TOPIC IS OR HOW TO FIND THEM.THANKS AGAIN. DEBBIE

Attacking another member isn't needed here either. Laura was trying to help, she just happens to be brief in her words. And I KNOW personally thatwaiting to file for a K1 is waiting in limbo too, so I am sure that Laura can relate to waiting like the rest of us!

Perhaps you should consider practicing what you preach.

To the OP, I am sorry that you are having an agonizingly long wait. It is so frustrating to have to go through the process, but AP/AR is horrible. You guys have made it this far, so as hard as it is, keep holding onto your faith that you will get through this! I wish you all the best.

Yes, I have my ups and downs. Been down recently since the holidays are coming up and we haven't even passed the fiasco known as the USCIS yet. I'm sure I will feel better once we are approved, but then having to wait again will take it's toll.

Thanks Julez...

I'm usually pretty long winded with my posts, tonight I'm tired and didn't mean to come off as "shallow"

To the OP...

I really am sorry that you are going through this. There are people here who feel the same exact way as you do, find comfort in them.

Best of luck.

I'm sorry you are feeling this way. This is a long and frustrating process. The hardest part is not knowing and seeing that you are in AP I can only imagine what you are going through.

All I can say is be there for each other as much as you can because in the end, it will be worth it.

Have a nice day.

Hold on here, there is an issue here buried beneath the depression and it has to do with the process or wait, the NON PROCESS of USCIS.

Everyday I wake up I am grateful, everyday that I hear nothing about our process just brings me closer and closer to saying our government sucks...no wait,,,,, I say that anyways. its been five months since I saw my husband, and it stings and cuts like a knife. He is the stable and balanced one, I am the one that will go to Washington DC or blog the heck out of a senator or congressmen to correct this mess.

I am a firm believer in speaking my mind when the issue comes to HUMAN RIGHTS. We are Americans last time I looked, the land of the free so they say, and yet with all the ####### going on...........I sometimes wonder.

Give her a break hun, its a part of the process of the !-129 I-130 whatever, and to come here and vent and above and beyond try to believe it will happen and yes it will, but to find people that can feel our hurt as they are hurting also is priceless.

The depression is beyond sometimes, but that comes FROM NOT KNOWING and that is probably the worst part well for me right now since I cant get past a NOA1 from CSC. I feel that the system has broken down and no one has any parts to correct it.

So please as I see it, this is posted in an area called OFF TOPIC and seems appropriate.

Cheers hun and big hugs!!!! THE SYSTEM IS A MOSEBA!!!!!

You both should be mindful that you are violating TOS with being so rude to Laura. Keep it up and you will be reported.
