It doesn't say anything about ongoing relationship, but I didn't want any RFE's, so I sent EVERYTHING!!!

I sent the following

- 150+ pictures that we had of us together, plus a few local landmarks

- copies of airline boarding passes

- copies of entry stamps in the passport

- receipts from dinners together

- copy of a greeting card from the hotel congratulating us on our engagement

- copies of ALL IM conversations since we met 1 1/2 years ago

- copies of e-mails and e-cards

- copies of phone card records showing the phone numbers used and the date and length of the conversations

I think that's all I sent. Better to send too much rather than too little.

Actually too much can be a problem. You need to realize that the adjudicator may actually read every single document you present. I remember reading a story here about a couple who did as you did. However, somewhere buried amongst the 1,000 pages of documents was an innocent reference (or maybe references) to each other as husband and wife.

End result: I-129F was denied

You need to carefully select the evidence that you provide. Quality not quantity is the key!!!!

Hi there,

and thanks for all your comments on this. We decided to send in all the documentation that I initially mentioned and mailed the I-129F package on 11/28/07.

I thought a lot about this quality vs. quantity issue, but came to the conclusion that we're not gonna send in hardcopies of all our emails and letters. I don't think that emails would prove that we actually met, plus, they are manipulable (you can write anything).

Since two of my 5 passport stamps are WB-stamps (waiver business), we included an explanation for that on the explanation sheet for how we met. In October, I was there on business from Tue - Fri and connected the weekend since it was her birthday on that Sunday (which they can double check with the birth date on the forms). In November, I came for business too from Tue - Fri and connected 2 weeks of vacation afterwards, for Thanksgiving. Actually, we even sent in the boarding pass stubs for the Germany - Houston portion and made a remark on the copy, that my stay will end on Dec 2, and added a copy of my I-94W. So hopefully no irritation there.

Let's see how fast our case is being processed. Is the fact that the VSC processes our petition beneficial in any way ?

Regards,

Daniel

I think what you are sending is fine. Plus you are going through Germany, which isn't as high fraud as other consulates so your burden to prove an ongoing relationship "should" be less (though not always) Good luck!
