The world is such a huge melting pot now.

Not really. Most people in the world still belong to one of the three major races -

mongoloid, caucasoid, or negroid.

That belief has been widely discredited.

Discredited how?

Even though I'm the OP I don't have a clear answer - because I don't think there is one.

I'm caucasion (of German and English descent) and my husband is caucasion I guess - though he is quite dark. My stepdad is considered black, yet my husband is darker than he is. My husband has European (Portuguese) and Indigenous roots. He's tall, dark, and handsome

His skin is definetly a brown color, so he must have indigenous roots (he is from the Amazon).

We're quite different from each other and I think that is what makes us so attracted to each other - and a great looking couple .

Anywho . . . I'm caucasian of British and Scottish descent mostly. My fiance is from Africa and his skin is dark. Talk about TALL, DARK and HANDSOME!!! Whooohooo, I've taken plenty of cold showers since I met him.

Me, white, caucasian, kind of a pinkish color. In fact, after living in Mexico, I'd become startled by how pasty I was when I looked in the mirror.

Hubby checks off the Hispanic/Latino box on paperwork, but he is actually Yucatec Maya. Maybe he should be checking off the Native American box? There may very well be people in his family tree that are of Spanish descent, but I don't know of any for a few generations.

I'm the first person in the family who didn't grow up speaking Maya, in-laws included.

Because his hair is jet black and mine well, yellow, we look like a bee when we're together.

Well, technically, we're both 'white' I guess...but being that he's English, and I'm of Italian descent, we're not remotely the same shade.

Me...I am Scottish on my moms' side and Slovakia on my dad's side. My dad's father travelled at the age of 16 from Slovakia to Nova Scotia Canada. He was a strong man who was determined to have a better life.

My husband comes from Scottish background.

I am white Scotish and can trace my ansectors back 600 years.... My husband was adopted at birth he is not white and not dark skined but we have no idea where is birth parents were from...
