I said no, but I think it's tricky. I have actually read in several places that Caucasian also can cover people from India and other parts of Asia and north Africa. So Caucasian is used usually for lighter skinned ppl, European descent, but I think the word actually includes a lot more people than that, technically. Ethnically me and hubby are very different, racially(by terms) maybe not.

Yes, people from India are sometimes considered caucasian. Other people/groups consider them to be Asian.

All race does is catalogue people based on their physiology. Blacks have different physical characteristics than Asians, who are different than Caucasians. People are people, they just look different based on where they were born and what genes they have.

But again, my point is that the world is so intermixed now that it is getting harder and harder to use the word race.

Well, most of the world would say we're different races.

But his grandmother was American, his dad was definitely white Hispanic, and his mom is more mestizo Hispanic...so he's dark and beautiful

I'm Caucasian. As white as they come, I get a sunburn if a lamp looks at me funny.

But I don't care. He doesn't care. So I'm not answering this one.

I suppose we're the same race. If husband has to specify race on certain forms there isn't a box for Arab or Mid Eastern so he has to check "Caucasian".

We're both from India, so are we or aren't we the same race? If race pertains to body build, skin tone, shape/color of eyes, texture of hair and/or skin, my father and I aren't members of the same race. Neither are my wife and I. Heck, there's probably 2-3 different races in my extended family alone.

We are the same. European caucasians. I've always wondered how many more decades (centuries) will pass before races are pretty much extinct. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with bearing children of a mixed race. There isn't. But it would be sad to see us all generally look alike for real. It's all our differences that make life more interesting.
