This is Jane from the philippines and I would like to ask regarding

with my problem...

I have an american boyfriend working for U.S Army stationed in Germany

and visited me here in Philippines last January. Our relationship now is more than 1

year and half and we agreed to get married before his deployment in

Iraq this January and wants me to stay there in Germany for a week just to get

married..Upon asking all the information from his Sergeant, he found out

that the Visa is not needed for me to come there eventhough I was from

Philippines?.and I know that going abroad needs visa especially if you

came from third world countries.

My problem is I want to make sure if it's true before he can

purchase round trip ticket for me and make accomodations in hotel.I know I

don't have to worried about the expenses because his willing to pay

them all for me...

But I just want my trip would be legal upon entering in Germany and

neither wouldn't like to waste the moneybefore it's too late,if just in case the

information we got is not true..

Please I need your help and information regarding with this issue..

I am pretty sure you will need a visa, but this board is mostly for people wanting to immigrate/ get visas for the USA, and you'd be needing a visa for Germany, so I am not sure you'll find a definitive answer here. Maybe ring the German Embassy in the Phillipines?

Yeah you are gonna have to ask the Embassy in Germany what the requirements are for your visa to go visit there. Unfortunately, VJ is a site for immigration to US and not any other countries. Good luck.
