After my I-129F making it to the US embassy in Kiev a couple of weeks ago, I now have to cancel my petition.Has anyone ever canceled a I-129F before at the embassy stage? Can you please share how you did it and all of the necessary people/departments, etc. that need to be notified and how to ensure it is officially canceled. Thanks for your help.

Here is what I did on Jan this year. I did before she had an interview.

1.Wirte a letter requested to withdraw my case, and also explained why. And then notarized

3. Made 5 copies, 1 sent to US embassy in my country, 1 copy to my attorney, 1 copy USCSC, 1 copy NVC, and 1 for myself (backup). Hope it helps you a little bit.

I received a cofirm letter from US Embassy in 2 weeks that the case has been closed and return to USCSC.

I echo what others have said... The active method is to notify the place where your case file is physically located (ie.. consulate). The passive method is to simply not provide the support evidence that is required from the USC (ie.. financial documents) for the interview and the case will be denied. I don't believe the passive to be the best solution here.
