I had a LOT of laundry to do today (the clothes kind, not the other - get your mind out of the gutter!) So I was putting it in the machine and when I came to my clothes I had a new burgandy skirt to wash... last time I washed it (which was the first time) I did it by hand and the dye ran everywhere... I figured it would be okay because it was going in with dark clothes that wouldn't take the die, so I put it into the load and topped it up with a few more dark things. Then at the very end I made a strategic mistake and put in a stained white blouse and my bras... proceed to fill the machine and do the load as normal.

Half an hour later I came back and started taking the clothes out of the machine to hang up... dark skirt, dark dress, another dark skirt, dark shirt etc. But what's this? The lavender bras have had a new infusion of pinkness, and the ones that went in as white with white embroidered flowers have come out as pink-with-white... And the 'white' blouse has miraculously changed to pale pink! To add insult to injury the tomato stains didn't come out either :(

Anyone know how to undye a blouse? And unstain it while I'm at it... I'm thinking of bleach, but i don't want to destroy it... as it is, it's pink but wearable - it just won't go with my green skirt any more!

I had a red shirt that never stopped bleeding into other things. It was like an everlasting gobstopper. I do have a nice pink shirt because of it though.

Only thing I can think of is to make a solution of oxyclean/oximagic and dip a small part inside the mix and see if it will pull it out. Always test on spot it cannot harm. If not bleach would be a last resort. I have done this in the past and it worked as long as the item has not been put in the dryer and it just happened. Good luck.

thanks for the tip... i'll have to buy a box and see what happens... i don't actually mind the underwear being pink (it IS my favourite colour) but it doesn't go with the blouse's embroidery!
