Hi fellow Canadian vjs,

I'm almost at the end of my process at the nvc and my interview is expected to be scheduled by nvc for montreal. I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with the scheduling of interview by the nvc for the U.S. consulate in montreal; I would appreciate your sharing.

Also, it is my understanding that I-130s filed at US Consulates in Canada will upon approvals by USCIS and processing by the nvc be scheduled for interviews by montreal; is this the true? I welcome any clarifications.

Thanks.

Henry!

We've had quite a few people interview at Montreal recently - might get more answers if you post in the Canada forum.

But anyhoo....

The interview, in your case, will be scheduled by NVC. Montreal does the scheduling for direct consular filers only. All that means is that you will be calling NVC to see when they have scheduled, rather than emailing Montreal.

Interviews are currently averaging between 4 and 6 months to get to, after completion at NVC.
