Hi All,

My K3 has left NVC on Nov 15 and should have made it to Islamabad, Pakistan embassy by now. I emailed embassy to inquire whether the case is received, no reply yet. My question is that once embassy receives the case what is the next step? Is my wife going to receive packet 3 and send requested docs to embassy then the embassy sends packet 4 with interview date OR my wife gets one packet 3/4 with interview date and she has to take all the documents with her at the time of interview? :innocent:

I read different things on the site here and wanted to understant the process from this point.

Thanks for your input!

Depends on the embassy. Try to call or email them to find out the specifics or find someone who has gone through the process in Islamabad.

Im in the same boat as you. On November 16 they sent our I-129F to Frankfurt. I was doing research and from what I understood, is that your wife will receive the packet 3 with instructions and then when she turns in the required documents, then she receives the appointment date. If I were you I would submitt the affidavit of support with your income and tax returns to your wife so she can send that to the embassy. I would recommend that you look at the Pakistan Embassy site for more info. Good luck :) I hope everything goes quick for you and me.

Thanks guys for your input. I think the best thing would be to call embassy but that's really a pain as Islamabad is 10 hrs ahead. I'll have to wake up 5am to call the embassy.

Is there anyone here who is going or gone through this in Pakistan who can answer this?

Banfield is correct. Every embassy has different procedures. For example, Juarez, Mexico (our embassy)...they sent out the package with the interview letter. You turn in all of the documents in the package on the day of the interview. And you schedule your medical one or two days before the interview. So, I would definately advise you to contact your embassy to find out their procedures.

Good luck.
