Im sure you all read me message back in September about my finacee being denied her visa because she admitted using drugs 2 times in that past 7 years. She passed her drug test but admitted useing 2 times. I am at my wits end and mind is all mush, I truely love her and want to marry her. I was wondering what the time frame is on retrying and if I have to start from scratch or just have her go thu medical and interview again. Thanks for any responces.

I would love to move there but can I make a living there? I am a Ford automotive technician, I have 22 years experience. I dont think there are to many ford dealerships in Pi and dont have a clue what they pay.

Minimum wage here is 300-400 pesos per day. if you convert that to dollar using the present exchange rate of 43 that amounts to 7-9 dollars a day so i think working is not an option here for you. You can go into business though.

There was a time that I thought of the possibility of getting denied but haven't been there yet cause we are still waiting for our petition to be forwarded to NVC at the moment. So we have thought of ways that we can continue the relationship. One of the solution I found was getting a work visa in Canada. I can be a caregiver or hotel staff. I am an accountant but I can do that kind of work if it meant being near my husband. He can move there with me and he can easily find work there too. You will spend lots of money for the papers needed to get her there and of course another long time of waiting but there will be a chance for you to live your life together.

300 to 400 pesos is high. Average filipinos barely make 100P a day.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

I wasn't specific about the minimum wage, in Manila that is the rate if you are going to work in a legit company or business. 100 pesos a day are for people who works with employers who doesn't deal with employee taxes and ss and I dont think Larry would be involve in that.

I did see quite a few Explorers in Manila. I think it's pretty popular for people who have drivers. I have no idea how much your skills would be in demand though. What are the possibilites of you emigrating to Canada and having her join you there? It seems like your only other choice is to wait until your retirement. We discussed my moving there since I'm already retired, but my wife wants to be able to help her siblings and to build a better retirement for herself.
