I130- Insufficiwnt funds

hiya...right sorry to hear about your circumstances. hopefully this may help and i dont think anyone has thought of this, but in my past experiences with banks, if a check has been denied once for insufficient funds, the bank typically runs it through again. Checks when denied the first time are run through again. Because the account has been frozen, it will be upto you to call the bank and speak to them about what happens when accounts are frozen. I would think that because it wasnt a matter of insufficient funds, it would be cleared up without any penalties. Just call the bank asap and find out.

thanks for your response jwinquist. I took your avdvice but fo rsome reason they cant give me a straight answer at the bank. After this week I am gonna close them too much head ache-these petition is about the most I can take right now.

You know what else is getting me sick and tired, the USCIS keeps touching my I130 and still I have not gotten the return check as of this day. If I dont get it by Friday I am gonna send of the I129f with the Money order. Patience is a virtue and mine is running out.

That must be one sorry bank if they can't tell you if one of your checks has cleared. I agree with you. I would find another bank also.

I finally have one of the accounts unfrozen, the bank claims to be working on unfreezing the other. It is 2 days to Friday, I am gonna take tie I129F to make copies of the files. I will also keep eveyone up to date on what happens about the check and the I130. Still wondering is it gonna be a RFE or are they gonna return everything and i have to refile with the Monenyorder?????????????

I'm sorry. I am trying to walk away from this post but I can't help but wonder about it. There is nothing classified about checking the status of a check that you have written. If the bank can't tell you if the check has cleared or if it has been returned then you should not do business with them. The check is yours, the account is yours, and the money is yours. There is no reason for them to be secretive about your account. I really wish I was there for you. I would know in about 5 seconds if the check had been paid or if it had been returned.

Don't let them bullshit you. The money you have in any account should be accountable on a moments notice. That is the nature of an American bank!

I am being very straight, it was the following week after when the bank finally had information pertaining to the check. Since then I have changed banks and is now starting over withtheis new bank, I hope later in the process they wont give me a hsard time wheni I tryto get there information for the Affidative of Support.

Just and update, my case has been progressing I have been touched numerous times has you can see from my timeline. I finally got to call the vermont service center adn I got an invoice for the $190 + $30 processing fee. I have 30 days to pay which is ok because I am sending out the moneyorder this Friday along with the I129F.

So just for future reference if payment is not initially paid the service center sends and invoice for the payment they give you 30 days to pay.

Until I the next 5-10 months (VSC as really slowed down).

Excellent news. I just don't think anybody here knew what to tell you. We don't know the returned check policy of USICS. I am glad you got this worked out. hopefully the rest of your process will go quickly.

My husband is still in his home country ( Jamaica) and he want to go on vacation in the summer to Canada. I am aware that once the petition is in place the vistor visa is no longer valid. I know he can't enter teh US but can he atleast go to Canada?

There is nothing in the American visa rules that prevents either of you from going to Canada. As long as Canada doesn't have a problem you are free to travel anywhere but here.
