I'm a part-time employee at a university as a student worker and I don't derive an annual income of a certain amount, I'm just an hourly worker. Should I simply put in response to question 7 "I derive an annual income of" the amount I earned last year?

Also, since my parents are contributing to my college education I would assume my father (my co-sponsor) would list me as well as my mother as partially dependent on him, since he pays for things for both of us?

James and Miranda,

What information does the 'employment letter' from the university give you to work with? An hourly wage and number of hours per week, or per sememster? Be consistent, or if not consistent be prepared to explain the discrepancy.

Does you mother have any income of her own?

I did the employment letter and had my boss sign it, and it said the amount I make and the average amount of hours I work per week.

Yes, she has income of her own (and is in fact my boss! Not the one that signed the letter though) but since they are married he does obviously support her in some ways.

James and Miranda,

OK, then, use the wage rate and hours in the letter - and the number of weeks you work at this job per year - to derive an equivalent annual income.

As to your mother, she possible supports your father in some ways also? Since she has her own independent income, unless it's really insignificant, your parents may be interdependent by choice and could be independent if they choose to be? I'm not giving you an answer on this one - just some things to think about so that you can be comfortable with however you decide to answer.

Thanks Yodrak, you were a huge help. I have just about everything done now, the only glitch was the bank couldn't give me total amount deposited for the last year. They said the only was was if we paid $3 for each month of the last years statements and added up the credits ourselves! I've got plenty of sufficient evidence otherwise and I'm gonna include some paystubs so they see for certain that my co-sponsor and I make money!
