Apparently, not only do we have screenwriters that don't know how to construct a sentence, but now we <...> a member that doesn't know how to read!

Speaking of inaccurate punctuation and syntax, I think you missed an important word in there somewhere :P

No, I had an extra one! But then, it's neither my forté, nor a craft for which I get paid.

P.S. I see LisaD can find any opportunity to be snide, as always!

Not being snide, I just find it ridiculous that you're pulling this apart the way you are.

But hey, if it makes you happy, go for it! I mean, obviously it's somewhat important to continually mention it, so hey...I'm glad pulling someone apart is giving you some benefit. Red pens at the ready!

We're learning about this in my production classes. The writers haven't had a strike for over a decade. The way of TV is changing to internet and more people are renting DVD's now which the studios make buco bucks on and the writers get nearly nada on. The topic of intellectual property is big right now during the strike and I don't blame them one bit for trying to get more for what they are worth. Some talk show hosts are even paying for their writers out of their own pockets even though the strike is going on to keep their show going. They are supporting them.

When strikes like these happen and go for a long time it affects many people from the top all the way to the make up artists, the people who cater, the people who baby sit, to people who do wardrobe and sets.

A funny thing happened in my production class the other day. One of classmates said, "I don't feel good about this while the write strike is going on right now. Should we really be here?" Oh I think he was just trying to get out of class. LOL!

I completely support the writers. I beep at them every day when I pass by Sony.

But I do agree with DM, that a poorly written email FROM A WRITER - is a bit hard to take. They are discussing the chants & the signs here on local radio (eery day), saying how they expect more from writers. So obvs plenty of others see the irony as well.

Look, it's quite simple. I'll articulate for one person that appears to be struggling with anything other than her "overt, or bald-faced, or in-your-face, or I'm-not-pulling-any-punches, or I-call-it-like-I-see-it approach" to discussion. My comments weren't "somewhat" important, LisaD. And I wasn't "pulling anything apart" either.

And let's not overlook the fact that you took my very objective words and turned them around, ONCE MORE, and into a personal attack on me. It's so "LisaD" (F) Although I find it absolutely laughable that of all people, you could criticise and accuse another (erroneously, by the way) of doing what YOU do continuously and what YOU can't resist doing at any and all opportunity. ;) Ironic? No, not at all. It's one more example of that puffed-up ego, and that all-important view you have of yourself!

Nor am I impressed or fooled by your choice positioning of "smilies" after your 'barbs' :luv: so that you have a 'ready-excuse' and can worm your way out of something, should admin begin to see what you really had up your sleeve.

Now, back to topic. :D

In my opinion, the quality of the writers' work impacts what should be done with that work, and what price tag should hang on such work....and that is the essence of the issue!

Yanno, after you made such a fool of yourself for trying to mock my wedding gown, you really shouldn't be the one spouting platitudes about attacking people. Pot, kettle, and all that jazz!

But whatever you say! :D I'm far too happy today to get into some sort of strange pizzing match with you!
