Hi All,

My Fiance and I realized that we entered the wrong Place of Birth "city" on our I-129F form. :( She was born in Shan Dong Road (yes, it's a city) in Hong Kong, but we put Kowloon, Hong Kong. We thought it was the same, but now we're panicking.

Do we need to resubmit the I-129F form?

Is this going to really screw up our processing time?

Also, her Birth Certificate name doesn't match her current Passport name, as she is a Japan citizen, but born in HK. There is no official name change, just that she was registered as a child under her Japanese name.

What other proof should be get to show she is both people?

Thank you for your help.

If you check the USCIS page there's a phone number you can call to change residency, though I don't know if it's for that type of mistake or for a change of address to where your papers should be sent. You should check it out.

this case is different from change of address, even two different names, it's like having two different identification,is she using japanesse passport or HK passport did all the names different first, middle and last names, did u submit the biodata page of the passport also with the birth certificate. am telling u immigation re very sensitive about identification.
