We lived in Dallas in 1963. I was in the second grade in elementary school and they let us out early so we could go to see the motorcade if we wanted to. My dad was working and my mom didn't want to drive downtown.

Well before they put up the memorial they have today, the FBI had painted the shooting window in the school depository building with a red circle to study the crime scene. We drove downtown to see it after the assasination.

My dad and I were watching live on TV when Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald. My dad freaked out in disbelief. He kept asking me, "Did you see that, did you see that. I don't believe it."

Oh my I can't believe I almost forgot about the anniversary, thanks for the reminder. And yes from what I hear he was a great president.

9/02/08 -------> Received NOA 1 showing receipt date as August 22, 2008

9/02/08 -------> Received bio appt by snail mail verifying scheduled date as 9/12 @ 3 pm

9/12/08 -------> Fingerprints taken

12/16/08------> Interview @ 10:05 am [PASSED]; OAth given at 2 pm

12/29/08 -----> Filed for US passport book and passport card for my husband

01/08/09 -----> Rec'd US passport book in mail today; still waiting for card and return of natz cert

Oh my I can't believe I almost forgot about the anniversary, thanks for the reminder. And yes from what I hear he was a great president.

I think he might have had great potential but didn't have time to prove himself. He did let Nikita Khrushchev walk all over him the first couple of years he was in office. I think the Russians were much more afraid of Richard Nixon than Jack Kennedy and until the Cuban missile crisis we didn't show much backbone to the Russians.

I don't buy the conspiracy theories, where everybody but Oswald was somehow involved. Oswald did the shooting. Whether or not he acted on his own is a separate question.

Good point. Jack did let them build that wall.

He was still a great President. So much vision.

He was still a great President. So much vision.

I have always been into the space exploration thingy so his speech about going to the moon was very motivational, at least to me
