Clarification of travel restrictions

Some of this may not be applicale to this section but I thought I'd put it in the same post all the same. Can someone clarify something for me... is it correct that...

-Advance parole is only needed before you have a green card.

-A reentry permit is only applicable for those who have a green card and want to stay outside of the U.S. for more than one year and less than two years.

-If you want to travel as a permanent resident you need no extra applications.

My question is also, how does extended trips (between 6 months and 2 years) affect a citizenship application? Anyone know to what degree they are frowned upon?

Too answer your question periods of absence from the USA greater than 6 months will reset the countdown to citizenship, also need to accumulate residency greater than 18 months.
