Yes, thank you Sarah and Salshi,

Alhamdulilah, he has it now. It was such a relief when he got it.

Alhamdulilah.

Now we are waiting for his interview and praying that we have all the right documents and everything prepared. It is truly nerve-wracking.

Ana hamuka henaya. Vraiment j'ai deja perdue ma tete depuis longtemps et Habibi aussi. :girlwerewolf2xn:

Inchallah, tout se passe bien!

Hi Everyone,

sorry i am usually so quiet around here. i kind of lurk in the K1 Visa Forum, but every once in a while i check in with MENA.

today something terrible happened. today i'm at my wit's end. those of you engaged or married to Moroccan men, can you please tell me if it was difficult for your SO to get his passport from the Moroccan authorities?

my habibi and i have filed all of our papers, we're anxiously awaiting our NOA2, and in the meantime, my fiance is trying to get all his documents together. we knew the passport might take a while, but it's been 5 months! that's a lot of time, no? he knows someone who works in the mukata, (the passport section, i guess?), who is "helping him" and every time, he goes to ask about the passport, they give him a different answer. they've been telling him "come back next week," "come back tomorrow at 3," "come back next Thursday," and it's never ready. supposedly, he's been issued a receipt number, but how do we know if it is even valid?

have any of you experienced this? is it normal for a Moroccan citizen to have to wait 5 months for a passport?

please help. i just want to cry...

hz

ok first in which city does ur husband live? mine took 2 months but that's not normal, alot of ppl get it within a month. mine was late because a stupid woman that take the papers when u first file didn't tell me that in 2 weeks I need to go to the police station to do some paper work there. so mine was held there for a month.

you should ask ur husband if they told him to go to the police station.

5 months is NOT normal at all.If I was him I'd go there and b*tch my a$$ off :D

Wow Tarik...you've not even entered the US yet and you already learned those words???

OP: I hope the information you got from Tarik helped and you can resolve this soon. I'm glad you brought up this issue because it reminded me that my husband should see about getting his new passport started shortly.

thanks, Maggie, for the support!

Hi, I all what I can tell you, that your husband might miss spoken with them probably he told them that he is leaving soon, so of course they want to play with him.

As an advice if he is in Mokata3a and they playing ( Tom and jerry) Tell him to move to Al Wilaya as where the passports get the final stamps.

To get a passport from Moroco you need to go trough 3 steps.

Mekadem (mokataa man, who make sure you current adress exist,)

Police investigation

Al amala or al Wilaya/

it is possible to break all this process and go straight to Amala or Wilaya to get your passport within 3 days MAX. and that will cost only $ 10 extra

Wish you luck
