November filer: Just filed K-3 (I-130 to Vermont)

Just send off my I-130 packet to Vermont CIS. Thinking it will be 8-10 months to the finish line...but I hope sooner. I wonder if the holiday season will slow things down? Any thoughts? I understand i can file the I-129F when I receive my NOA1 from Vermont. Is this correct?

Question: Does the I-129F process take longer when it's part of the K-3 process, rather than as a true fiancee visa? Awhile back I filed a finacee visa and it went pretty darn fast....about 5 months to interview with a long wait for her police checks from 2 countries and she had to renew her passport also. I think it would have been even quicker minus the delays. This was with the Almaty Embassy (old fiancee was from Bishkek). My new wife is from Russia.

Like said earlier, do not wait for the NOA1 from the I-130 before mailing your I-129f. Just do it now. Mail a copy of the I-130 with a copy of the check you sent with the I-130 and if you have it, you can also send them a copy of the receipt notice showing that they received your I-130. This is all the proof you need.

Like said earlier, do not wait for the NOA1 from the I-130 before mailing your I-129f. Just do it now. Mail a copy of the I-130 with a copy of the check you sent with the I-130 and if you have it, you can also send them a copy of the receipt notice showing that they received your I-130. This is all the proof you need.

Hello again. As per your suggestion, I sent in my 129F packet with a copy of the I-130, a copy of my check and a copy of my postal receipt. If this works you've saved me at least a week or two to get the NOA1. THANKS!

As I indicated, I sent a copy of the I-130, a copy of my fee check, and a copy of my postal receipt i got back when my I-130 packet was received by the VSC. I hope this is enough. Apparently other filers has been successful using this as evidence of filing the I-130.

thru USPS Express Mail the envelope gets Missent (Gets Misrouted in the Mail)

They correct the error and then package is delivered to the address.

People have been waiting since 3rd August for their NOA1 for I-130. I sent mine on 20th Aug and havent received a damn thing so far. Not to burst the bubble, but it might be a real long wait!!
