Hi,

Thanks in advance for your help in answering this post!

I am currently living in Russia far from Moscow with my Russian wife. We have been married for 6 months. We wish for her to come to live with me in the United States via a K-3 visa.

I am looking for recommendations of people who help you prepare the many forms and documents to get you her interview at the US Embassy. Sometimes these people are lawyers. Sometimes are they are not. It would help if this person was in or near Virginia where I am from. Also, this person must be knowledgable about cosponsors as I will need one.

Please include all their contact information such as names, name of firm, physical address, email address, web page address and telephone numbers.

I am not in a position to file by myself, I think. The nearest consulate is many hundreds of miles away from me in another part of Russia. Also, I am not very knowledgable about a DCF.

Again, Thank You!

Read the guides and example forms here, you don't need a lawyer if you can read and follow directions.

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

Since you have been living in Russian for 6 month, I think you can file DCF, which is much better and much quicker. And you can file all required form by printing them out in some Internet cafe, fill them, and then go to the embassy and turn them in. I know that you will have to drive/fly to the US Embassy in Moscow to do so, but believe me, it is much better than filing for K3 visa from the US. I am not sure if in Russia the US Embassy allows to file DCF, but in Ukraine one can do that after being six months in that country. You can read their web site for more info or call them. But if I had lived there for 6 months, I would for sure go with DCF and file for CR-1 visa.

Otherwise, if you still have to file for K3 here in US, then do it yourself. You will save tons of money and will do it right. It is very simple process, just follow instructions carefully. Plus, VJ forum is always ready to help you with any question that you might have. DO NOT HIRE LAWYER!!! They are useless because what they do, you can do it easily by yourself (unless you are willing to pay them 2,000 - 4,000 dollars). They want make your case move quicker. DO IT YOURSELF.

If you have questions, ask them here.
