The form itself comes with a Step by Step instructions. Are you using a co-sponsor or using other household's income? If YES, it will be his/her name on 24E.

I also thought so. I got confused when I checked with the example I864 form available in this site. It has the name of the intending immigrant there.

I am the only sponsor and sponsoring only my wife. Do I qualify to file I864EZ? I completed I864 and was almost ready to mail. Would it be a problem if I send I864 even though I qualify to file I864EZ

Thanks

Shamim

What are the different types of "I-864" Forms available?

I-864, I-864W, I-864EZ and I-864A

Basically, when applying for Financial Affidavit, you can use ONE of the following forms below IF you meet the form requirements:

I-864 is needed if you are proving your eligibility to support your wife using your asset (Land value, Bank balance, stock value, etc)

I-864-A: Form I-864A may only be used when a sponsor's income AND assets do not meet the income requirements of Form I-864 and the qualifying household member chooses to combine his or her resources with the income and/or assets of a sponsor to meet the requirements. The obligations of the household member under this contract terminate when the obligations of the sponsor under the Affidavit of Support terminate.

I-864 EZ is needed if you are proving your eligibility to support your wife using ONLY your income (salary, bonus salary, etc).

I-864 W is needed if you are EXEMPT from using I-864 IF you worked in United States for 40 business quarters (10 years) and has met the minimum income Required by Social Security Administration.
