It's like I heard recently on the Democratic debate...illegal aliens don't come here to drive. Having a driver's license is not an incentive for anyone to come here. It's a lack of the federal government's part to pass any sort of immigration reform or secure the borders that leaves the states with the problem of dealing with illegal aliens. What a state does is that states idea of how best to preserve public safety. And in the interest of public safety it's best to have everyone documented and everyone who drives licensed. Not my thoughts, but I agree 100%.

Yeah really... "stroke of genius" doesn't really cover how offensive it is to label and package human beings. Just another emotionally-loaded irrational argument in a general subject of which there is no shortage.

BTW - I don't see the point in this city ID card, but from what's been said so far nothing really justifies or deserves the "create" statement shown above. At best all that can be said is its in extremely poor taste. Its also an example of how bigotry and racism is a factor in this debate and tends to detract from, and undermine the legitimate arguments against illegal immigration.

Excuse me, but you are mistaken. It already does happen...frequently. Ever heard of an airplane? Ever heard of ICE's program of repatriating groups of Mexican illegals deep into the interior of Mexico so as not to make it easy to EWI so easily again? Crate 'em up...move 'em out. Adios!

And then let's mandate that every day at noon we all stop whatever we're doing and give the person next to us a huge hug and say "I'm so happy you're a human" Maybe we can switch the national anthem to the Carebear theme song. Let's all sh*t sunshine and lollipops because that will obviously make the USA a better place!
