Emergency AP for illness of parent?

Ok, we have our AP stuff in and it's now past the 60 days..we just found out that

my husband's father has to have a serious operation on his heart in about

2 weeks. What do we need if we want to go ask for emergency AP? We don't want

to keep waiting ""HOPING"" that the darn thing will be approved within the time frame

they said. On our NOA it says to contact the service center if it has been more than the

projected time frame.

DO they charge the fee again for the advance parole if you have already paid it?

Need to bring more photos I'm sure

Yes...You need to have the same things that you needed for your original AP application (photos, photocopies of your I-94, etc.)

What kind of evidence do they need?

Evidence of your immediate necessity for AP.. a letter from the doctor describing the condition and the surgery will suffice.

You could try an info pass but take supporting documents concerning the health issue to the appointment.

I got an Emergency AP issued a few weeks back. The key seemed to be good documentary evidence of the emergency, passport photographs and evidence of having already filed. NB: We did not have to pay again, but many others have. I think that is up to your local office to decide.

You need to make an INFOPASS appointment with your local ASC, and be well prepared. This was my experience, I hope you find it of some help:
