Timeline

I can't figure out why they are requiring my wifes fingerprint again after less than two years. Do they change as we age. I am just pissed that we have to travel 8 hours one way again in the dead of winter to do the same thing we had done two years ago. It took all of ten minutes last time. 16 hours of driving for what; a repeat performance. OK I vented now I feel better.

INS is not allowed to keep fingerprints on file for longer than 6 months. Years ago there was a lawsuit and this is the outcome. Has something to do with privacy and this kinda #######, and it's against the Constitution (or some other major law).

In the past it was very common for people to have to do multiple fingerprints, because they'd expire before the case was adjudicated.

Sorry you have to drive so long, though.
