I emailed my choice of agent on November 9th, and NVC still has no record of receiving it. Is this normal? The first agent I spoke with said I should have gotten an auto-reply email, so I emailed it again twice, but I've still never gotten an auto-reply. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the email into their system? Did everyone else get an auto-reply?

If you send it right it should take about 10 days just like us, just make sure you follow the instructions correctly and re-send again..

hmmmmm.....the other possibility is that the autoresponse is being blocked by a spam filter. u could wait a couple of days since it's almost been 10 business days for you or try talking with an operator to see if they received the email.

looks like u just posted the same thing Toastburglar. :P i agree...hope that its just being blocked by ur email. Good Luck!

Is correct, don't know what you might have done wrong. Check your e-mail address spelling cuz if you send it in right you should have received a e-mail back within two days telling you they received your request and will e-mail their answer later. Gud luck!

yes NVC is really hoooked up... there is so overload of work. I think the auto response system has also slowed up. I hope the infrastructure at their end is not collapsing..... there is serious overload on their IT desk department.

Hi Toast,

Normally when you send a message to them you do get some sort of reply, before they actually reply to your question/submission, this is the one I received:

Good morning,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The correspondence submitted is currently under review. You will be notified when this review and any appropriate action has been completed.

National Visa Center

Do you have a 'junk mail' folder for your email that it might have been directed to?

If you are going to resend again, I would recommend you add their address, NVCINQUIRY@state.gov - to your email address book as that is the address they reply from and it should ensure it doesn't get flagged as junk mail.

Good luck!

Hey John and Cathrine,

sorry to hear that your are still waiting for your response, but my husband talked to a nice lady yesterday at NVC. She said they are totally backed up and it does take longer now then usual.

I saw you had your I130 approved on Oct 17th and NVC got your case on Nov 5th. We had ours approved on Oct 10th and NVC still hasnt received our case and we dont have a case number.

We are all in the same boat and I feel for you....waiting is the worst. I wanted to be home for New Years with my husband and our 31/2 year old little girl....but doesnt look like it will happen.

Keep your chin up....hope you hear something soon....we are worried our case is lost somewhere...
