I would call and mail in the change of address to make sure they get it. And, I would do that immediately. You could do it at the same time as the I-90.

So I've been thinking about going to Jamaica Carnival and Bacchanal!

Has anyone ever been? Heard stories about it, or have an opinion on it? Apparently its growing bigger each year and Byron Lee has been promoting it to get it up to size with Trinidad or at least get it as well known as the Trini Carnival.

Anyway. I hear its very wild crazy and fun. And any excuse to parade the streets in a colorful loin cloth and feathers, you know I'm there! Theres a beach J'ouvert (pre-party)and some other jouvert. Then there's the poplular road march, where you'll be in mas(costume).

Just wanted to chime in with you all here to see if you have been. Hubby said he went in 2004 and had a good time at Bacchanal.

If you don't know much about Jamaica carnival go to:

Bacchanal

**********WEDNESDAY CHUCKLE**********

HAPPY NEW YEAR YARDIE FAMILY AND HAPPY HUMP DAY YA'LL!! I hope you all have nothing but blessings in this new year!!

Blessed (L) always,

Gill

P.S.- The Stewardess is a DYAM LIYAD!!!!!

*******************************************************************

Fly Air Jamaica!

A mother and her son were flying Air Jamaica from Montego Bay to Miami. The son (who had been looking out the window) turned to his mother and asked, "If big dogs have baby dogs and big cats have baby cats, why don't big planes have baby planes?"

The mother (who couldn't think of an answer) told her son to ask the stewardess. So the boy asked the stewardess, "If big dogs have baby dogs and big cats have baby cats, why don't big planes have baby planes?"

The stewardess responded, "Did your mother tell you to ask me?" The boy said, "Yes she did".

Well, then, tell your mother that there are no baby planes because Air Jamaica always pulls out on time. Have your mother explain that to you."

:ot: Ok, let me run this by you guys.

NVC told me on 12/26/07 that my case was forwarded to KNG embassy. So, I figure even with all the holidays...KNG should get it by this week and send Ken his Pack by next week.

Ok, here's my question...I want to know if we can drop off Ken's DS-230 form when I am down there? Will that be too short of a time b/t them mailing it and me dropping it off. Will it be obvious that it is not the same form they sent out? I really want a late February interview date (because of 1800flowers job and Valentine's day)!

Former Yardie VJ'ers have told me that they only schedule appointments for the next month within the first 2 weeks of the prior month. Can you drop off the form and get an interview date the same day??

I sent them an email, but no response as of yet. I am going to give them a call later. But, I was just wondering if you guys think that I would have a shot in hell of getting into the embassy to drop it off??

Bless-Bless (L)(L) ,

Gill

P.S- I hope this whole thing makes sense :blink:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Gill. It's been a couple of years for us. But like the champion blubber qween said, you most likely won't get an interview date when you drop off the form. This was the case for many of our SOs who were dropping of their forms about the same time. We did not get interview date's until the following month...

Ladies,

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!!!!!I have not been on in a while, but i wanted to dropp in to see how everyone was doing? As I can see there is not alot of the oldies from 2005 left on here, iI hope it is because everything is going well. Fromm personal experience it is probably because there spouse is a pain in the a..!!!!!!

For those they don't know me I married me spouse in April 2006, if he is lucky I may stick around to remove his conditions in the summer, but at this rate I wish he would find his own way in this country, cuase I am tiredof all the bull..... You may understand whre I am coming from if you are dealing with someone 5 yrs younger, and thinks that he knows everything about how to get by in this country.

If there is anyone that is dealing with a similar pain, please pm me, i need to talk with someone that can relate to this.

Suzy
