I plan to send whatever I can to help him with the expenses he will be incurring. I consider this a small investment for someone who I want to spend the rest of my life with. :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

I agree totally. I did the same thing with my hubby at the time. He made just enough $$ to get by. If he had to pay for all the Visa expenses, we'd still be waiting! The passport, police certificate, medical, etc.. the cost adds up fast. I made way more money than he did. Why wouldn't I help him?

Hey girl! Glad to hear you're doing good. It's not hard to change your name - just time consuming. You don't realize just how many things have to be changed. I started with the major ones first - drivers license, SS card, passport, bank accounts, credit cards, etc... Then moved on to the less important things - insurance, video club membership, library card, utility bills, ..... Just take your time. You'll get 'em all eventually!

T.G.I.W. Thank goodness it's a short week!!!

Jamie, you've got that darn Wyclef song in my head ever since you mentioned it the other day

Today is my last day of work for awhile :D I'm joining Jonesie on Maternity Leave! I will check in from home, but I have a problem. When I go to reply to a post, I get an error message and it knocks me off-line. Does anyone know how to fix this?

New Truck

One day, Rambo was walking down King Street when he saw his friend Shabba driving a brand new pickup. Shabba pulled up to him with a wide grin.

“Shabba, where’d you get that truck?!?”

“Wendy gave it to me” Shabba replied.

“She gave it to you? I knew she was kinda sweet on ya, but a new truck?”

“Well, Rambo, let me tell you what happened. We were driving up Hope Road, late last night. Wendy pulled off the road, put the truck in 4-wheel drive and headed to Hope Garden. She parked the truck, got out, threw off all her clothes and said, ‘Shabba, take whatever you want’.

So I took the truck!”

“Shabba, you’re a smart man!”

“Them clothes woulda never fit you!”

I am so stupid to ask this question. This is totally off topic. My husband needs a pedicure really bad! Do men get pedis. He had a cracked heel when he came from Jamaica and it has since got better But his toes and foot bottom needs work.Should I bring him to the nail store or buy those foot spas and do it myself . I want to surprise him. Thanks Ladies

ps I hope u guys dont mind..but I am Canadian and my hubby is Jamaican. I cannot relate or give advise on sponsoring ur spouses because in Canada it is way different(much easier) but I can relate to having a Jamaican husband in "Farrin".

I just want to say  and congrats to all of you that have found that great man. I enjoy hearing everyones stories and giving/showing examples of what a real relationship is all about. I know mine is not the one. Yeah I knew it before but had a little break down, and was 2nd guessing my choice, all better now. Its sucks because I wanted it to work but when you know its not right its better to just move on. I'll just take some more time to work on myself and when I'm ready the right guy will come into my life. And as always big thanks to all of you for letting me vent and making me see things through someone elses eyes. I probably would've sat here depressed and teary eyed for way to long, thankfully it was only one night!

You know how to reach me if you need to talk.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Hey 1luv,

I would take a 'US' day...treat both you and him to pedicures. It may be a nice experience for both of you.

I know I intend to do that with Ken...AS SOON AS HE REACHES...cause I LOVE my Boo, ...but his feet are JACKED-UP!!!!:lol:

I have often wished I could invent an 'out of love' medicine, whenever you were in love with the wrong person, you'd take a sip and all feelings would disappear...Unfortunately, I haven't yet.....

It's easy for people to say 'be strong', I say, vent it on of your system, lean on others, embrace your feelings...And every day, it will get that tiny bit less , until one day you'll realise it doesn't hurt any more...I hope that day comes soon

Welcome 1luv!!!

Yesssssss men do have pedicures!!

Take him to the nail shop, most men I see there go early in the morning when it's quieter if they're shy.....What might work as well is have him put vaseline on his heel at night and then put socks on...
