Hi hope everyones day is gooding splendiferous

Got a new word-of-the-day calender, there, JALOVE?

Splendiferous??????

hahh yup i tend to make up words lol it sounded good ok guys i have some questions

1. is it normal not to even want to have sex while pregnant i feel weird lately i dont like anything anymore things i used to do, foods nothing!!! i feel like another person

2.is it possible ill never get sick ( i pray not) cuz right now i feel ok just smells bother me chris cologne and all the bath and body works lotions, fish smells and grease and even peopls voices at work. This one cackling hen is annoying me to no end i wish she would stop talking!

i remember the first couple months i didn't want mike anywhere near me...i felt he had done enough then hormones kicked in....

it is possible to not get sick...i know some who have no problems at all...i know chicken still bothers me the smell the look and taste yuck....and your sense of smell will become very strong as well....you will be able to smell things that a lot can not....

i had to say i have no idea whats goin on with me i jsut feel weird and anything i used to like i dont anymore even food and boy i can eat lol so i know somethin wrong im not as tired as i used to be though but i sleep almost till time for work lately so we will see what comes as time passes

tell him to just wait be patient with you....your body is going through a lot of changes in the first couple of months..a likkle baby is starting to grow and form...two books that i like a lot that have helped me are What to Expect when expecting and the other not sure if it is still in print because i got it at a 2nd hand store is Idiot's Guide to Pregnancy...i read both of those books all the time!!

Lawd....been on the phone all day with my friend.

About 3 months back she got a call from a friend of hers that her husband's car was parked outside his baby mother's house when he was supposed to be on night shift.

She went there and confronted him, and him tell her all kind of foolishness bout loving her and how he made a mistake.

She asked me for my advice, mi did done tell her LEAVE HIM.

She went back with him, I supported her and now she fine out that he got the baby mother pregnant again.She was scared to call me, she thought I was going to cuss har for being so stupid.

Nuh my business if she wah mek a damn fool of herself.

Look like she FINALLY come her senses and leaving him for good this time, she said she can't deal with him having another child out there......

In other news, my son has done VERY well these past few days at school, hopefully we're over that hiccup!

So, typical. I'm glad I found out my son's father was engaged to someone else in Jamaica (while engaged to me) before I married him.

Sorry to hear. When your body switches into that I want it all the time mode, close to the end of the first trimester... when they say you get a burst of energy. I wonda if hell complain bout that too. My husband wants it all the time and when I'm tired I say you can have it, but I'm not participating, he tek it same way, I wonder how I end up being a active participant any ways.

Ladies.... I just finished reading "Dancing Naked at the Edge of Dawn". It was such a GREAT book! About strong women and the steps and changes we all go through in life. Marriage, kids, divorce, love ... happiness. It was so good!

I think all the strong women in this group would like it.

ok about the house on the hill with no deed i hear in JA u dont get a deed to any properties there isnt it just a title? Also i kinda have a similar situation. Husband's cousin has some land in Mafoota if i recall correctly is just past Anchovy. Ok this man who has been takin care of the land or whatever or supposed to be in charge of it. Mr Green. he says he would give us an acre ok so me listenin to chris last year took some he divided up. And supposed to pay 250 US a year to him for ten years. Ok i aint too interested in puttin anymore money into it. Especially based on what you guys said today. We have not built on it and husband is wanting to send the 250 and i know we wont be doing any building now since baby is coming so it would sit another year. Have u all heard of that before someone in the area caring for the land so they have rights to it. Husband was sayin its perfectly ok as his cousin and their families build on it. So im thinking ok who told MR green he can do that where are mr greens papers for the land.

Ok i aint too interested in puttin anymore money into it. Especially based on what you guys said today. We have not built on it and husband is wanting to send the 250 and i know we wont be doing any building now since baby is coming so it would sit another year. Have u all heard of that before someone in the area caring for the land so they have rights to it. Husband was sayin its perfectly ok as his cousin and their families build on it. Nope no relation. I rather us get out own land with some papers when the time is right. There is some nice land with a water view near the town he was living in but the time is jsut not right right now. Im sure we will find what we are lookin for when we are really ready. I have been finding property is just as much as in the states! I have not seen anything cheap.

Anyone know of any good airfare deals going down to JA around the 20th? I'll be down there with my husband for a few days, but the airfare that I see, (and the layover times) are ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY RIDICULOUS!!

Gurrrrl, Yuh tellin MI!!! ...I was looking for fares for Ken's trip up (G-d willin') OMGoodness, B/c of flipping JA. carnival, easter and spring break the fares are sky high!! It may be cheaper for me to buy him a roundtrip...than a one way!!!

That's true. My dad and a lot of my other family members built their houses before the early 90s. My dad (believe it or not) paid $20,000 US to have a 2 level 5 bedroom house built in 1985 with money left over. Things started getting crazy toward the end of 2002. But what a lot of Jamaica here did was take EQUITY out of their homes in the states and built MASIVE masions in Jamaica on LAND that did not belong to them and had no papers to the land, becuase they were taking advice from family members who told them, no one had rights to the property and it's been sitting for years. If that's the case, take that info, get a QUALIFIED realestate attorney, go to kingston see if you can draw up a plan or find out who owns the property. Girl it's just crazy. I don't now how else to put it. Just because it's family land, don't mean nothing. My dad's house is built on family land, but he has a TITLE FOR HIS PORTION. Out of 14 kids, he's the only one that did that and now the others are fighting about who should build a house where. See, that can't step foot or build (not an INCH) on my father's property, because he paid to have it surveyed and titled.
