I think JA takes a little longer than any other other country. I wonder why??? You'll have it in no time from the look at things.

I used to think that too Sunny...but when you look at some of the sub-saharan African countries...mi feel APPY dat I dealing wid Jamaica!

I think it's mainly dependent upon the staff at it Embassy processing visas...at least that what the JA's Ambassador's Assistant told me when I asked that same question!

It makes sense...if you check out European countries and som Asian countries with large staffs...they get through in NO time. Plus, it the culture of the country. Unfortunately, every dyam ting inna JA is slow...including the mail system to get theie packets!! The Ambassador's assistant said they have to make accomodations for that also!

Bless,

Gill

Yes, your probably right Gill. There are a few countries that have a longer wait. I'm glad things are finally moves at a normal pace and hope they stay that way. I have a long ways to go because I haven't even mailed my packet yet, but it soon come....

How do you politely tell someone they need to wear A LOT more dedoradant or to drink a gallon of listerine. OMG....I have to endure this for 9 hours. Please pray for me.

Some time ago, I took the TGV(high speed bullet train) from Paris to Geneva and there was a lady next to me-

well dressed, perfect makeup, but oh my :dead: I was nearly gagging the whole ride. I made my husband change seats with me; I just couldn't tolerate the smell.

Trelawny - I used USPS Express Mail - They say it took 6 days, but one time it got there faster than that - and it was $24 to send an express mail envelope. Cheaper than Fed Ex!

Anyone else have Verizon for cell phones? I have always had them, and never had a charge for texting to JA before - so I use that ALOT - Suddenly, this past month I am getting a $0.25 charge per text :girlwerewolf2xn:

If it's that bad, politely tell the woman  . As tactfully as you can however. You must have a keen sense of smell. lol There is some sort of disorder that causes people to have BO no matter how often they bath.

Brownin, because she's a sistah I spoke to her myself, because the other ladies in her office was talking about her. This was late last year. She had her hair in the same braids for well over 6 months. So, I told her what was being sad and she got defensive. I don't think she has a disorder, I think she just don't know how to take care of herself. And she tried to cover it with perfume, which only makes it worse. I know she works out in the in the morning and then in the afternoon. I don't know, but covering it with perfume is not the solution. One of my co-workers tried to talk to her early last month, but it she didn't respond well, so we don't know what else to do.

Okay. I work in NW near Pennsylvania Avenue (near Georgetown). I have alot of friends in Bowie, but they say I life in the bonedocks...i'm just on the other end of the miserable beltway. The Colesville area has gotten expensive in the last 5 years. And I think they're going to rebuild other parts of in the next year. For everyone that is NORTH of DC, we will send you some SUNSHINE on Monday.
