Good Morning All......

Last week I told you about the STUPID

Sorry but to finish......the STUPID typo I made........I did not wait to get the RFE in the mail.....I generated the bar code and made another checklist sheet for the DS-230.......I sent in copies of all the appropriate documents as well........and sent it off via DHL........

The automated system says this morning that they have received the checklist letter as of 12/3/07......Does anyone know if it will take another 2-4 weeks before they case complete it......or since they have reviewed it once before, could it take less than that?

I am only hoping and praying that we make a January interview date..........

Peace & Love,

Tonya

You know I got an email from the Embassy in Kingston regarding current interview dates and they said that they were in February. That was about 2 weeks ago I believe. I am not sure if this information she gave me is for ALL visa types or just the visitor one I was requesting info on.

Wow its been quiet on here these past few weeks. Is everybody ok?

Today was my last day of classes..finals monday and then Wednesday I'm outta here! I LOVE school holiday breaks, just one of the reasons why I want to be a teacher :star:

Jonesie & Rhonda - Its almost time!!!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing!! Yeah, my University starts exams next week and I can't wait!! I don't get the whole break off, but from 12/20/07-1/3/08. they close the school and give everyone 'mental health' days!!

Well good luck on your finals and don't cram too much! Are you going for Early, Elementary or Secondary?

Bless-Bless,

Gill

Oh I wish I wasn't working during those times. I'll be here in the office the day before and after Christmas. This is the first time in 4 years that I didnt automatically get the holiday weeks off and paid for. Since I just started the job I wil be the only person here I think :crying:

I am sure the info you got was for visitor visas. The immigrant visa interviews should be in January and they should start scheduling that by next week.

Tonya - not meaning to burst your bubble, you may not get a date for January. Just be prepared; if your case is not complete by now, you may be looking at a February date. I hope I am wrong

Thanks Jengles and Jax. I really don't want to see another textbook, but unfortunately I will because I have some professional exams to take starting next June. It sucks, but will be worth it in the end.

Marie, good luck on your finals and I know you can't wait to go home. Have a safe trip home and enjoy Christmas in Jamaica fi mi.

I love my new Jamaican wife. We now have the I-94. I found the information I needed on www. hias.org. We went to the Deferred inspection Site yesterday and spoke with the Duty Officer. He saw that the I-94 was never given to my bride on her arrival at the airport. He re-created the form for us. A second Master's you go girl!!!! I barely want to finish the master's i'm working on, LOL What is this 2nd degree going to be in?

If there was a way, I could move into teaching without taking a paycut, I would be all over it. I think it's great for people who have kids.

 I agree Jengles!

I am going for a MA/PhD. in Secondary/Higher Ed Counseling. I got a MBA because I was working at a college that allowed you to earn a Masters for free! So, I took advantage of it thinking I would go back into business when I completed it! I then fell in love with Higher Education Advisement and applying for positions w/i Higher Ed w/an MBA gets me this kindda look :blink: ...so my present school offers a MA in Secondary/Higher Ed Counselling for free so again, I figured might as well take advantage. Although Ken wants me to take advantage of their Law School, but that's just WAAAAAYYY too much work and NOT free...ATALL!!

So Jengs, what is your Masters going to be in? Are you almost done? Hang in...it soon come!!

Gill
