Jut gotta big up mi man....I just got flowers delivered to mi job and it was such a shocker!! I thought they were from my cousin whose wedding photos I just did, but I opened the card and it was hubby! This was a nice surprise, i can't wait to go back now.

This is such a frustrating process. What a great man to offer such soothing words. I am praying for you! I am still not in the online system a month after NOA1. now, I dont really care that I cant look it up online, but that to me is a sign that NOTHING has been done to my case in all that time.

I have been in contact with the congressman's office since I filed (it is around the corner from my school) and I called to say "hey. Im still not in the online system and I have this fear that my petition has just vanished, gotten lost, or is collecting dust." The lady tried to rush me off the phone, but I just had so much to say ....... so I made her listen. ha

She said "well, I told you on the blah blah date that you were receipted." to which I reply "I am aware of that..that is how I was able to give YOU the receipt number" anyway. Im from the south where people coat everything with sugar...even if they could care less about you and out of her mouth come the words in a RUDE manner

"you do realize this process is not going to be completed in a couple of weeks, it takes time"

IT MADE ME FUME!

I calmly said "yes maam, I am very educated on the process my petition takes, I understand that after it leaves Vermont, it must go to the NSC, and then it will travel to JAmaica. I understand all of that perfectly. I know you have a lot to do and a lot you take care of, but this is my life. OF course I understand that this takes a while, because I have been the one waking up everyday for the past 7 months without my husband."

I am best friends with the senator's daughter and he was the one suggest that I contact the congressman's office so that they would at least check on it regular and keep in out of the "dust collection pile" but. clearly that isnt what they want to do

I am not asking for preference, I am not asking to cheat the system, I am just asking for things to be done properly.

I wanted to go on a tangent about how all of us on VJ wake up everyday alone and all we hear about is illegal immigrants. HELLO. what about the LEGAL immigrant problems we face.

It is funny how I have developed a passion for all of us, and not just my own case! Its very frustrating how uneducated we are as a country about our own immigration policies.

I guess that her statement hurt me because YES, MAAM, I am PAINFULLY aware this is going to take awhile. It is so frustrating because it seems like we are the only ones that care.

I know many of you are waiting and have waited WAY longer than I have. ANd I fight for us all!!!!!!!!!!! (Victory CAll)

Take your time and think about what you want to say to him. Do not rush to judgement. You can even write down what you want to say. Please, please do not call him when you are angry. This will make things seem worse and you both will start fighting. Remember "a soft answer turneth away wrath." Pray about it and let God be your guide. The devil is rampant in these parts and will try to destroy families. That is his goal Remember what God has joined together let no man nor the devil tear apart.
