Jut gotta big up mi man....I just got flowers delivered to mi job and it was such a shocker!! I thought they were from my cousin whose wedding photos I just did, but I opened the card and it was hubby! This was a nice surprise, i can't wait to go back now.

Hey Tam Tam; Tonks for the shout out. I am here at work till 11pm (call in to work 4 hrs for an extra $10/hr and couldn't resist). Just catching up on the reading. I am still waiting for that snail mail from JA with Mike's corrected DS-230. He claims it was mailed out last week Tuesday. Getting mail from Ja is some he!!. When he used to work in Kingston, he would go to the General PO and mail it. He now works a little outside Spanish Town (near to Dovecot Cemetary) and asked his cousin to mail it from Old Harbour. He leaves for work at 0600 and gets home at 2000, so he couldn't get to the PO. I am just tired of waiting. I check my mailbox everyday with such anticipation, that my heart sinks when I don't see a letter from Ja. But, girl, I am still hanging in. Every disappointment is for a good. They would have sent the RFE for the passport pictures anyway. I am just taking it easy and hoping for an April/May interview. I miss him so much and I am tired of calling him and telling how much I miss him. Like he says to me most of the time "I feel the same way, but there is nothing you or I can do about it right now, so just hang in there and remember our love is everlasting and will edure this trial that we are going through."

Nuh mind mi dear, it soon reach. Snail mail is a hell of a ting, but yuh should get it soon. Keep the faith...what a small world. My father lives right by Dovecot...we live in a scheme called Green Acres and it is literally the right turn before Dovecot. Mi knoa, it's a small world.

Claire, I will keep you in much prayer because I know you will get it soon and I know you are not going to sleep on that. Right back to the NVC quick time!!!

The lady tried to rush me off the phone, but I just had so much to say ....... so I made her listen. ha

She said "well, I told you on the blah blah date that you were receipted." to which I reply "I am aware of that..that is how I was able to give YOU the receipt number" anyway. Im from the south where people coat everything with sugar...even if they could care less about you and out of her mouth come the words in a RUDE manner

"you do realize this process is not going to be completed in a couple of weeks, it takes time"

IT MADE ME FUME!

I calmly said "yes maam, I am very educated on the process my petition takes, I understand that after it leaves Vermont, it must go to the NSC, and then it will travel to JAmaica. I understand all of that perfectly. I know you have a lot to do and a lot you take care of, but this is my life. OF course I understand that this takes a while, because I have been the one waking up everyday for the past 7 months without my husband."

I am best friends with the senator's daughter and he was the one suggest that I contact the congressman's office so that they would at least check on it regular and keep in out of the "dust collection pile" but. clearly that isnt what they want to do

I am not asking for preference, I am not asking to cheat the system, I am just asking for things to be done properly.

I wanted to go on a tangent about how all of us on VJ wake up everyday alone and all we hear about is illegal immigrants. HELLO. what about the LEGAL immigrant problems we face.

It is funny how I have developed a passion for all of us, and not just my own case! Its very frustrating how uneducated we are as a country about our own immigration policies.

I guess that her statement hurt me because YES, MAAM, I am PAINFULLY aware this is going to take awhile. It is so frustrating because it seems like we are the only ones that care.

okay, so like i stated yesterday, i was 45 minutes late in picking up my son, due to the snowstorm. gave myself an extra 10 minutes to get to the school. I get there and one other child is there besides my son. before that i'm in the car thinking i don't have a number for the school after 4pm. the secretaries go home, so i could call them and let them know i'm on my way. i get there sign a form saying i owe $10.00 for picking him up late. i had no problem doing that.

the school secretary calls me this morning. [b]stating that the people in the afterschool program "have other things to do after 6:30" and they should have taken my son to the precint (but no yah not because they don't have cars and don't want to have to go there and then go home)[/b] and she's "not concerned about me, but those on her staff" I mean really. I hate it when people want to throw remarks at me, then they get upset when I give it back. If u can give it, then take it point blank. Why does everyone want to be cute. if she had stuck to the facts it would have been cool. the facts were simple. I arrived late and they had no number to contact me (or so they claim but they didn't call the house or my job, which is what they should have done) at his old school i would come home and their number would be on my caller id.) and I had no number to contact them. Someone from the school called me back after we hung up on each other and gave me the teacher's cellphone numbers. I shouldn't have their personal cellphone numbers. the school should leave the office open, or maybe it's just me.

My aftercare center had 10 kids waiting when I got there 5 minutes before they normally close!!! The supervisor just laughed and said it's gonna be a late one b/c trains are stuck and the weather...blah blah blah!!

Not fuh nuttin', but unfortunately that is the career they chose to get into and yes days like yesterday do occur and they should expect that! In addition, your dyam right that they should have a staff cellphone number for you to call. God forbid something happens and the person's cell phone # you have doesn't work there anymore!

U and I both know how super ridiculous this all is. I can't believe it sometimes. I have been seeing alot of NOA2's coming out of VSC as of lately so thats a good sign. Some people getting NOA2 without ever being able to look their number up online . I heard that USCIS is not entertaining any congressman inquiries until after your case is at least 6 months old. So maybe that is the problem with your congressman. it seems like USCIS is stating that as long as NOA2 is within 6 months they are processing ontime and congress can't do anything until after they pass that mark.

I feel for ya girl i do! Your going back to JA for the summer right?! Thats gonna be nice. I pray that God gives you added peace and strength to get you to that day.
