I've been dreaming of moving to Florida. The only thing making me think twice is my children. They are very close to our family and I think it would be selfish of me to move them away. I've talked to them about it and my daughters all for it though. She wants to live near the ocean so she can be a mermaid She's 5, you gotta love it. And she also thinks we can go to Disney every weekend if we live there.

That is too cute; tell her the ticket prices too high to go visit him every weekend; even as a Florida resident I think the cost of the tickets are too high...Honestly, the weather is beautiful down here and it is definitely a plus that the atmosphere in Miami/Fort Lauderdale has a similar feel to Jamaica in that you have the Jamaican stores, communities, weather...but my dear it is becoming so costly!!! Aaron and I would love to get a house, but on our salaries to buy a $300,000 and paying $6000+ in property taxes and insurance each, is way too much! I would move more north, maybe even closer to Mickey . My only problem with that is that Disney may not be as special anymore .

Hello all.... havent posted in a few but I have been reading up on everything. :-)

1st of all Classy I think you must be a pretty smart lady for recognizing the loser in this guy before you went too far. My best friend came to visit me while I was living in St Lucia and fell for a guy - unfortunetly I don't think he is up to par and he is showing all the signs of a bad egg but she ingores them. I can only hope she comes to her senses.....

2nd ......... I got my NOA1 today and I am so #%@&^*% HAPPY! I know it is just the beginning but at least it has officially begun! Woohoo!

Now I have a very good reason to go out with the girls this weekend and celebrate! That and its pay day!! :-)

I remember just how you felt...like it's official...I HAVE STARTED THIS PROCESS!!!! I remember the first time I saw Ken's name and mine on the official NOA1...I started crying (I am such a Baby...probably PMSing that day too )

It's a GREAT FEELING!!!

Gill, I just realize that you and I have a date in common. Ken dropped off his DS-230 at the embassy on 1/15/08 and Mike's DS-230 was received at NVC on that same day. Coincidence? mmmmmm

Mek mi gwaan ah mi bed. Hubby ah cuss mi how mi caan wait fi get on pon VJ. Wi jus ah watch one movie and as di movie 3/4 through, mi tek up the computer fi si wah gwaan pon VJ. Di man cuss mi good and proper. Mi happy when di movie done an him can go watch him wrestling, so him can leave me and mi VJ in peace :lol:

I think he is waiting for me to log off, so he can log out of his computer and we go to bed One day mi ah go come home and realize mi caan access VJ because him fine ah way fi lock it off

Nuh Worry yuhself yah Clariey...hit isn't any better pon dis end!!! Hevery rahtid day mi checke deh website yuh give mi...plus call deh 202#! All I hear is "He is eligible for an interview since 1/15/08...but hasn't been given one yet!!!" C'MON KINGSTON!!!! Although Ken did git his Packet #3 in the mail yesterday! I think that's good considering they mailed it on 1/10/08 han we ALL knoa how deh Yard Mail system stay!!
