earlier I bought hubby one of his textbooks for about 24 bucks, of course it is used but hubby didn't care... the textbook costs about 100 bucks brand new...

I just hope he gets it in time.. we did pay 7 bucks for expedited shipping...

Good Morning.

My cats decided it would be fun to get in the garbage and play with it, again. Sunday I cooked soup with vegetables, and I put the vegetables skin and what I wouldn't use, like potato skin, onion, garlic, etc in one of those vegetables bags and threw in the garbage. I also put my brewed coffee and filter inside another bag. When I woke up this morning, thankfully the coffee bag was in the computer room (that's carpet) but still inside the bag. But the bag that had the vegetables were in the living room and there were vegetable skin all over the living room floor (also carpet), I mean ALL OVER!!

Now my cats are grounded and confined to the downstairs bathroom for at least 24 hours. Little fu**ers. I was so mad. Grr.

It's raining here right now. We're supposed to get 5-8 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Figures, it was 60 degrees here yesterday. I'm so ready for summer. I hate cold weather.

Nessa: I'm sorry your cats got in the trash. Daisy does that every once in a while. We try not to leave the trash sitting out so she won't be tempted. As I sit here typing though I realize there is a bag sitting in the kitchen. Javi just took it out last night and it wasn't quite full. Hopefully he'll remember to take it out with him today when he goes out or I have a feeling I'll be going home to trash in my floor.

My dog had a habit of getting in the trash too.

I got one of the trash cans with the lid, that you have to push a button to open

Then my man screwed in some screws - one on each side, so that you have to pull out then pull off.

That way, doggie can't slip the lid up.

All is good in trash world here.

The only time our dogs can get to it is when Javi has taken it out before it's completely full and leaves it sitting in the kitchen to get full. I'm sure it was my cat who did the garbage hunt, cuz Quitt isn't good with grabbing things, like he can't open doors or cabinets. But I bet Quitt went and also played with the garbage after it was out of the garbage.

I'll get another trash can and put inside the kitchen cabinet. I'll use that trash to put all food and use the other can that's on the kitchen floor for things like paper, cigarette's packs, soda bottles, cans, anything except food.

I always put meat packages in ziplock bags and sometimes in 2 of them, then if I already have one of my garbage bags ready to go I put in it and outside the house. But this garbage had no meat whatsoever, I left the meat bag inside the microwave we don't ever use for me to put in the garbage on garbage day when I put the garbage outside.
