I can't wait to post pics- I think Mel has the camera. He took a picture of me crying, in my PJ's holding the puppy after he surprised me with him today. I think he took it to work to show everyone.

I had given up hope of getting one- there was such a response for them we were on a waiting list hoping people would drop out. I guess it all came together this morning and he went and got him, dropped him off to me and went back to work.

no I still keep most of my brazilian eating habits. We don't have food like that (eggs, bacon, sandwich, meat) for breakfast.

We have 3 main meals:

* breakfast (right after you wake up) - usually coffee and bread (with butter, cheese, ham), fruits, cornflakes with milk, yogurt, things like that, that'll sustain you but won't make you feel heavy, so full you can't function and want to go back to bed and nap.

* lunch (usually at noon) - pretty much the heaviest and most caloric meal of the day - carbs, protein and vegetables - example, rice + steak + salad (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) or pasta + chicken + vegetables, things like that. Lunch is not like here where you have something like a big mac at 10 am. You sit at a table and eat a complete meal some time between 1200 - 1400.

* dinner (usually after 6pm after you're home from work) - some people have sandwich (like bread with cheese) and some people actually cook or eat leftovers from lunch, it can be pasta, or soup, things like that.

desserts - some people have to eat dessert after lunch and dinner, some don't feel the need. I'm the type of person that needs sweet food after i eat salty food.
