What's the plan after you close the shop?

At first it was going to France for 4 months and then me going back to college. Now that Neil got this new job I don't know what I'm going to do until the fall. I might travel some or road trip and visit friends not really sure yet. I may take one or two summer classes just to get back into the swing of things since it's been a few years since I graduated college.

Travelling is always mind-clearing (& fun)!

I have all sorts of travel ideas. My friend and I are considering driving up to Maine, stopping at Niagara Falls on the way since she's never been there and then driving down the coast and seeing all the small towns, lighthouses, etc. My friend is a photographer so she's really into this idea. Then, I've thought of just going down to Texas to visit my aunt and uncle because I haven't seen them in awhile. Maybe driving out to Cali because you have to drive cross country once along route 66 and Neil has never done that. Basically I have all sorts of ideas but no real plans yet. I'm definately open to suggestions from anyone.

Id say a lot depends on the time of year. I would not want to drive cross country in July or August! Similarly, I would not want to visit Texas in the same months.

Being near water is always my choice!

We took a trip LA-Santa Barbara-SF-Seattle-Vancouver 2 years ago, I loved it.

I'm #######. I hate people. Every single thing is pissing me off. Didn't you see what I posted? I'd rather not take people's money if it means I have to talk to them. It seemed like every single person that came in today wanted to talk to me for forever like I wasn't busy or something. They wanted to have an entire conversation with me even after they sat down to eat. I cannot wait until Feb 29!

No I haven't kept up with the posts today. Have been very busy. My day has been ####### too, lots to do and I keep losing my voice.

My wife and I are trying to decide between a 5-day vacation in April or May to either Las Vegas or Portland. Anybody got any advice? I've been to Vegas but she never has. Neither of us has been to Portland. We would have a free place to stay at in Portland (my friend who introduced me to my wife).

I was in Vegas in May of 2005. It was hot hot hot. But we both love the heat so we loved it.

I guess Vegas would make more sense in the winter months. I don't know what the weather would be like in Portland, but being on the Pacific Coast I wouldn't imagine it would be bad.
