March 7, 2005: I-129F NOA1

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

It's long-form journalism really, it's about musical cultural appropriation. In this case, Americans who playy Gy.psy music, more or less. (I swear, it's really interesting and brings up a lot of issues about the American zeitgeist :) )

Speaking of gypsy music, da husband and I saw Gogol Bordello a couple of months ago. They were really good. Not quite American, but kind of...?

It's a master's in journalism. Gogol Bordello figures into my thesis for sure. I even got a VIP pass to see them here in NYC for the article. :) I like them, but ever since I started the project I've certainly had a shift of opinion about them...
