I'm mean I would still make him do it. I'm not as kind hearted and generous as you are. Something I try to be better at though :) One of my resolutions was to be nicer

I feel sorry for my hubby.. he only gets about 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night and I don't work or anything so I would feel bad if I made him clean it

Hi you kind people, I have been around for a long time, watching, and getting some very good advice on how to go on this journey. But need some advice. :innocent: 1st- Sorry I have to go incognito, but, my s/o comes here at times also. Which I am glad, she has learned a lot. There are some very smart individuals on this site. Well, the question I have is, My s/o is bound for the USA in three months on the K-1. Now, do I have a big 'welcome home' party for her? Or just keep friends and family away? What have some of you done when your s/o has finally landed?

She has been here before, and has met my friends and family before, longest time was 30 days. So she knows them all. But should I keep things low-key? Or do I go all out and strike up the band???

Please, please, I need some advice.

Hey threerivers, my opinion would be that if you plan something party-like, it might not be a good idea to do it when she comes off the plane. Better to wait, because she'll be tired and probably not feeling like she looks super hot. (That's my female perspective).

It's hard to admit it, but on my SO's first day here, we waited for the cable guy, went to Target and out to eat Indian food (the beginning of a love affair between Rey and Indian food...and Target...and US cable TV...). He was pretty happy with that.

Moving is already overwhelming, so while it's nice to feel welcomed, if I were her I'd want a normal first few days, with maybe just a few key people coming over. Then I'd definitely want to party.

But these are just what I would want, some random girl in New York. You know your fiancee best. :)

Thank you so very much, Alex + R I am wits end even if it is still three months away. I just knew I should ask a woman. My 'mates' here say PARTY, and the females respond the same way you did. Thanks again,
