I go to Target tons now especially since they have a grocery store! They have some good items too. I will only go to one walmart and it's in the middle of nowhere. Normally I go there to get all of Neil's frozen food essentials like burritos, pizzas, meals & cup ramen  He is such a crappy eater

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Do you guys have Wegman's out there? It's a new grocery chain (well, new to me) that's been sprouting up around here. It's wayyy nicer than the competition. Cleaner, well spoken employees and managers, very well managed store in general with a lot more variety. Has an entire wing (not just 1-2 aisles as is the norm around here) dedicated to ethnic foods (jewish, greek, indian, thai, etc.).

I've never seen a Wegman's out here - think it's an east coast thing only?

To me, Walmart looks more like a Soviet department store than the embodiment of American capitalism

Maybe, I don't know.

I didn't mind our local WalMart up until a year or so ago. It has suddenly deteriorated.

You still have kmart? Ours got bought by Sears and turned into Sears Essential. It's quite nice now, the old kmart was ratty. But we don't go much because both Targets are closer.

most of the walmarts around here are ghettofied. there is a walmart neighborhood market about 10 mins from us and I went there once and there were no carts because everyone just took them home with them!

lmao...

i've seen grocery stores in the ghetto where you pay to put down a $1 deposit to take a cart.

Yay Target. I'm not much for big box stores, but I can go into any Target and feel at home. It's really sad. But it's a Minnesota business, and they treat their employees (in the US) ok, so I feel all right about shopping there. So glad they added a pets section!
