Massive company-wide layoffs. Just went down. Unofficial estimates are about 450 people, just below the 500 state threshold above which advance warning would have been necessary by law. Almost all middle managers and senior staff. Impacted IT, underwriting and claims.

:unsure: are you affected? and if not layoff wise, did your workload just triple??

No i'm fine. But I lost a few peers.

And my workload is unchanged, I've been a one-man team for a few months now.

Not really unexpected though. I've been reading about this in other similar companies for a while. Gotta ride the cycle. I wonder how many months of unemployment I get if/when laid off, time to browse NJ's UI site and refresh that memory :)
