I agree dev and I think she will never "want" to do it. I think she enjoys being miserable. We were happy when we first moved because she got a bf. At least she branched out a little bit. She's scared of people, her cats are her friends, she is even scared to go to her shrink appts. I feel really bad for her but at the same time I just wish she would figure out she's really screwing up her relationship with Neil. He is at the point where he just wants to forget about her completely. It's sad.

They get addicted in California and they go to their fancy celebrity rehabs in the Midwest. A real Midwesterner would just quit cold turkey...apparently...

does anyone watch Intervention on A&E??

that show is soo sad... I was watching one yesterday about this guy who was addicted to heroin I think,,, he went to rehab but got kicked out because he kept using... then it showed 5 months later and he was in jail for trying to steal a car so he could buy heroin and then it said that he was still using heroin in jail... :wacko: how sad is that?? :(

About not rinsing soap from dishes...A VJ trivia for you...A member on here awhile ago, she actually was from England too, made a poll about whether people on VJ did or did not rinse...she didn't, saying it is a pretty common thing where she was from and thought her American husband was crazy for telling her to rinse off the dish soap... :blink: yes, she made the poll thinking her hubby was the crazy one, just to make fun of him! She totally was expecting everyone to do the dishes like her. Needless to say she changed her mind in shock after the result of the polls/posts in the thread. :P

About alcoholism...sadly my FIL has been one for over 10 years. Oh and he lives in FL...been to rehab 3 times(first time he wad forced to go, last 2 went spontaneously), always relapsed...as Devilette said, if they don't want it nothing AT ALL works.... :( He stayed sober as long as he was going to his meetings and talked to his sponsor all the time. The minute he thought he could handle it without them, he relapsed. When I hear him on the phone now he sounds better but we can tell he is still drinking which is not acceptable for an alcoholic. He just thinks a beer here and there is not too bad, he thinks that as long as he doesn't drink straight from the vodka bottle means he's fine...It's very very sad... :(

(exactly on the 90th day mark...applications NOT returned although some scared me into thinking they could have!)

30th july 2007 - N-400 delivered to VSC

11th august 2007 - Delivery Confirmation receipt received

17th september 2007 - Money Order (FINALLY!) cashed

9th november 2007 - NOA! (notification period given 180 days)

21th november 2007 - Biometrics appointment letter

18th december 2007 - Biometrics appointment in Baltimore, MD completed

29th march 2008 - FINALLY received letter with interview date!

8th may 2008 H 8:40 AM - Interview in Baltimore-APPROVED!

8th may 2008 H 3:00 pm (yes same day, crazy!) Oath Ceremony in Baltimore

24th may 2008 - US Passport application mailed off

6th june 2008 - US Passport received in the mail!!!
