I am almost tempted to walk to the therapists office but it is 1.16 miles away and I don't think I quite have enough energy yet to walk that ....

Good luck with your appointment Marilyn (F) You'll be fine on the bus...I never thought I'd say it (i was miserable because it was hot and packed!), but I MISS taking the bus, or public transportation in general, I used to do it every day in Milan to go to work downtown... :o

Also...I can't believe this is the 3rd apt since we moved to America and once and again it doesn't face the right dirction to get Dishnetwork or Direct TV :crying: Really...what were the odds?:P

some ####### just came here and asked there were people at some room downstairs. I said I dont know (cuz I haven't been there and I really don't know) and she was like '' don't you work here?'' and I answered ''yes'' and she left.

like hello? just because my desk is here doesn't mean I know everything about the building. I work for a different division, i am not part of the management staff of this building. and i will not waste my time trying to explain to random people all that.

I hate when people do that. It's like, just because I work here doesn't mean I know everything that goes on in this building. I used to have that happen to me in my old job here. People would call on the phone and ask if someone was in. I don't know. There are 5 floors in this building and my x-ray vision went out a while ago. Jeez people!

exactly. and specially here, I was moved to a Conference Center with the Event Coord. people. But they got a hidden room downstairs and they put me in the room with the conference place people, but I was not assigned to work with/for the conf. cent. people, but when people come here they assume that since I am in this room I know everything about the building.

It's like the people at the restaurant downstairs, nobody will come to them and ask them to book a room just because they're located in the building, they prepare food, they don't book rooms

But....you're in the place the event coordinating people are, right? I mean, if you were placed in the restaurant, people might try to order food from you, too. Why not just say, "yes, I work here, but for a different division"? I can see why the woman would have been pissed at you.

Right, I know. Then they act all huffy when you can't answer their question or don't know what they are talking about.

and you're american, try having an accent and saying ''i don't know'' they look at you and I can almost read their minds thinking ''dayum immigrant, go back to your country, you don't know anything''

I'm in the same room that the building management people are. the event coordin. people are in a room downstairs. I'm really glad i'm in this room cuz the basement they are smells bad, and they didn't have enough space for me.

And that's exactly what I think about saying that I work for a different division. I'll start saying that when I can't help.

Usually I can help them somehow, but I don't always have the answer for everything.

Yeah it's like when people step into an office they get stupider and make too many assumptions. Or at least that's how I explain why everyone in offices seem to piss me off when I work in them. :)

I really love working in an office, but I wish this was more organized, you know? And I used to think the US military was extremely organized.
