I have dishes to do here that should keep me occupied

I don't know how the counter gets so full of dishes when I do them almost every day

hubby keeps saying that we should use paper plates but I don't like to eat off of paper plates

thats more expensive than using normal dishes. tell your hubby he won't get food anymore if he doesnt help with the dish cleaning without saying a word

I'm serious. Every time he does something he is supposed to do but he thinks it's not his job and you convince him to do and he does, you have to offer him a reward. It can be a simple thank you honey, or a more elaborate thing, like cooking him something he loves. It all depends on the chore and how well it was done. The same thing you do with dogs. They are supposed to behave and when they do what you tell them you can give him a treat or pet him.

then next time you won't even have to convince him to do such, he'll do it expecting the reward. and you can't stop rewarding him, otherwise he will stop doing what he's supposed to do but think he's doing you a favor
