101 sucks

Yup, even I passed up people on the carpool lane. That's when you know traffic is really bad.

LOL..680 S. This morning was also backed up and I took the HOV lane. Oh well!

I was in that classroom for a little over 13 hours today and when I saw the helicopter lights hovering over 680N I wanted to scream.

Was this near Mission/Jacklin exit?

I'm starting to think that area is haunted. I've seen 3 helicopters landed there over the past year. :hehe:

I'm from San Jose, but commute to San Mateo for work.

The red helicopter must be the traffic one. I see that one almost daily. The white fat looking one is the one that makes me cringe. When that one lands, you know there is a fatality or near fatality. The other thing that makes me cringe is when the police cars criss-cross in front of me on the highway.

Yesterday a cop criss-crossed on 101 as I was going home. 4 cars accident.

Driving is must in some of our areas, but after a while the odds of getting a ticket or getting into an accident increases. Can you believe there is no direct railway to S. Caly.??? This summer my son took Amtrak to LA. A portion of the trip was by a darned bus. We went to Amtrak in Oakland and they put him on a bus there which stopped in a million towns. Then past Monterrey it took him to the train. I was shocked to see those buses at the train station.

That is the norm now. Many take the bus. Price is about $35 one-way.

I used to live on the East Coast and just took it for granted that Amtrak was the train all the way. Didn't know about the Amtrak bus. Wow. I think his ticket was very cheap now that you mention it.
