What is the rate of the foreclosures where you are? In Tracy I heard it is 1 in 3 homes.

I used to live in Tracy, back in 1998. Homes back then were $200,000.

I am in Egypt. Not sure what the foreclosrure rate is here. I believe most people just buy their house/flat outright.

Here in some parts of California is has gotten bad. The prices were ridiculous. Down the street a 2000 square foot home was going between 850,000 to 900,000.

Most of these foreclosures are from investors thinking they could make a quick sale and get rich fast.

My sister in Atlanta didn't pay more than 200,000 for her home at 4,000 sq ft. She couldn't believe the ####### that sells for 1mil here.

Exactly. I used to be in real esate and saw some of the homes that was posted at a rediculous price. They should be no more than $300,000, but were going for $800,000. Like I said, they look like a soft wind can blow the roof off.

That is what I understand. In Tracy, Mountain House, my friend says that many realtors or speculators bought up those new homes. Now they are trying to dump them at the same time not many are buying. I also know of people who have refinanced in order to do XYZ and now can't afford the homes they've lived in for years.
