It was absolutely brutal!! :unsure:

We were asked to swear to tell the truth.

She asked for the appointment letters and IDs.

She started off by asking me a string of questions firing them one after another: Have you ever claimed any benefits from the government? Have you ever been arrested? Have you ever been deported? Have you ever been deported? Have you ever belonged to a terrorist group? Have you ever belonged to any political organization? Have you ever been a prostitute? ……..there were about 10-15 questions like these……..couldn’t possibly remember them all! She was busy getting the files situated and didn’t look at me while she fired the questions out.

I was asked about all the entries I have ever made to the US, how I entered and for what periods. Mother’s first name? Father’s first name? Do you have any children? How many children?

Other questions to me included: What’s your Birth Date? Where do you live? Does your husband live at the same address? Have you been married before?

My husband was asked: What’s your Birth Date? Where did you meet? Where did you get married? You got married in a church!? Have you ever been to England?

At this point my husband cracked a joke about being scared of flying……..that’s the only time she smiled and lightened up……..then back to business……..

She asked to see the original of every single document. She asked for employment contracts and updated pay slips……….the contracts were already on file, so she just took the updated pay stubs. Have you ever been on vacation together?

She took all the evidence of relationship except for cards, and letters. We took a about 10 photographs…….she looked at every one…….thought she’d just take 2 or 3 as some people have reported……..oh no……she swooped the entire pack up and put them in an envelope in the file. She asked for the medical forms and passports last. She removed the I-94

We knew everything was ok, when she put the paper requiring our signature for the conditional green card in front of us :thumbs::thumbs: ……..We thought we were running down the home straights when she said……..”WE HAVE A PROBLEM!:crying:

She needed original signatures on a couple of documents! :oops: What a nightmare!

IT”S OVER!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance:

We were in there for about 50 minutes.

Thank you visa journey! :dancing:

I feel Good...........like the moon is shining just for me!

Congrats

My interview in Atlanta only lasted 15 minutes at the most.

They never asked anything except for was that my signature on the forms. Same for my son.

That was it. No pictures or any proof was asked for reguarding our marriage.

We didn't have a single thing to hide, we were just wrong footed. I didn't expect her to start asking about what means I entered the US in 1988!!! The lesson is to be prepared to answer questions on any information you have given on any application thoughtout the process.

It felt like a hard slog :bonk: , especially when we'd read about 5min and 15min interviews.

IT'S ALL HISTORY NOW!!! :yes::yes:

All things considered we have been blessed with a short time span with every application.

Thanks for all the well wishes :thumbs: , and good luck to anyone still wading through the process.
