Hi All,

We have moved recently from IL to AZ. 10 days before we moved I applied using AR-11 online application and got a receipt number for it. But yet when my green card arrived, it was sent to my old address. I understand that I was supposed to to do the change of address per application, and that was my mistake. But now i wanna know, how can I make sure that my address was changed at all ?? I mean they may have sent me other documents to my old address and I never got them...

can you help me please?

All what I need is just to make sure that they updated my address in their system.

Thanks

You've lost old man...-Voldomort

Moved to AOS forum as not a K1 visa issue.....

You just need to call the 1-800 number and confirm they have the correct address for you... and also file the change of address for your sponsor if they have moved too...

Kez

does my wife (the sponsor) have to file the AR-11 too ?? if not can she do that online ?

NO  AR means Alien Registration, Your wife is a US Citizen.

Your wife files I-865 to report the moving of a sponsor.

Most people do not now about the I-865 because they hardly mention in on the website and when you call the costumer service # (even when I called and asked if they got my new address). I would suggest you also call the 1800 or schedule an infopass just to make sure. I had my husbands case denied because they never updated their address in the system even though they got the AR-11 form the very same week that we moved. As I understand it now they have 2 systems, they upgraded their system to a new one but they still use the old one on occasions. With us, they updated one system and failed to update the other so we got correspondence in our new address and some (like my spouses Biometric appointments) were going to the old address. The 1800# is not very helpful at all, I would schedule an infopass and have a face to face conversation with someone if I were you, its better to be safe than sorry.
