I got on the phone with USCIS last thursday and spoke to a lady. I told her that my 130 has taken longer than 6 months and I was worried if there was anything wrong with it. She said that she didn't think so and said she was going to transfer me to an someone who may provide more information regarding the case. I spoke to a person who gave me the same story (There have been a lot of applications filed in June etc...). But he did something interesting. He said he was going to send a message to the officer handling my case to send out the approval asap. He gave me a WTC reference number for it. He said that the officer should give me an answer in 30 days or else I could call back with the WTC number. Don't know if this would be helpful, but thought I'd put it out there...

Just an update. We got our notice from NVC today saying they received the petition from CIS on 12/26/2007. So our I-129F was approved on 12/03 and it took 23 days to arrive at NVC.

So I called them up again today and spoke a very rude person. She said that the WTC filed was a referral. And it could take them up to 45 days to get back on a referral. So waiting again...God this is painful. Good luck all.

Between, I really hope they have a category where we could pay a a lot more so that they could hire more people to process these cases.

NO

USCIS has 48 hours to respond and report your exact status to a congressional inquiry. I would respectfully suggest that you insist that this be done.

Hi there,

You should have been approved by now. Have you tried calling USCIS by using the RFE line? Those people usually have more information about your case than the CSR's who answer the phone.

7.14.07 - Received NOA1 (WOW after 6 weeks, I was worried...called INS and told me CSC had a computer "glitch" causing delays on printing Receipt notices and approvals)

10.30.07 - APPROVED No email, the NOA2 came in the mail...hard copy.

7.23.07 - I-129F received in Chicago

7.30.07 - Received NOA1

11.21.07 - APPROVED!!!! APPROVED. GOT AN E-MAIL ON THANKSGIVING!

03.03.08- INTERVIEW IN CIUDAD JUAREZ. VISA GRANTED ON 03.03.2008

***AOS & EAD***

3.10.08 - Case Received at Chicago Lockbox, check cashed 3.14.08

3.17.08 - Received both NOA's in the mail

3.21.08 - Received Biometrics appointment letter in the mail, biometrics Appt. 4.02.08

5.05.08 - EAD Card Production ordered GOT EMAIL (we received the same email on 5.09.08)

5.13.08 - Approval Email for EAD (so the card was ordered first, and then we were approved...hum)

5.15.08 - EAD Card Received in mail.

8.08.08 - WE GOT OUR INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT YAY...9/12/08 - INTERVIEW APPROVED

9.24.08 - Received Green Card in the mail YEAH!

My husband got a mail for I129 that was approved. Then Last December 28 received a mail stating that our papers will be send to manila embassy and gave us another case number (mnl2007854xxx...)the laywer said that manila embassy already received the papers but im still waiting for an email or mail from them...still waiting...July filers don't worry...soon it will be over!!! Thank you for all the information..it helps a lot.. :thumbs:
