My wife and I was talking about seeing each other and the price of air fairs have doubled in the last 6 months. Now that I had to resign from my job money is a little tight and I was hoping to wait till the interview to decide on traviling but she is getting very depressed as most of us do. I don't really care what the cost of the airfair is but I would hate to see us have to turn around and spend another 4 or 5g in airfairs two weeks after I return home... Especially without her again.... My heart can't take another good bye!!!!

How long does it usually take after the NOA2 till the interview????

I have been looking at timelines but they vary so much. I still have not decided to go with the K3 or the CR1...... But at this point I just want to get my wife home..... :help:

pushbrk shishhhhh back off a little!!!

HELLO jlscott201!!! I totally understand what you are going through...and yes, they have doubled. My tickets to Mexico used to be about $500 and now for Christmas they have gone up to $1150...ouch. For a lot of you this may be cheap, comparing many of you are flying half of the world to see your loved ones and the tickets are a lot more. To me, $1150 it's ridiculous...Im in California and my husband is in Mexico...it't a 3.5 hour flight across the border. Why is it so much $$$$$ ? ? Yes, I get depressed too...all of us have gone through that. Anyways, I got my X MAS gift early because my husband bought me the ticket and I'll be spending X mas and New years with him. That was soooo sweet....in MEXICO (even US) that money is very hard to earn...considering that the wages are so low in Mexico, so he earned with a lot of hard work. I would remmoned you to do whatever your heart tells you...if you can affort it...GO FOR IT. It's SOOO worth it.

On another Note, I'm SOOO happy to see MORE July APPROVALS. Congrats D&N......for your recent approval. Congrats to all of the recent approvals.

Good luck.

Hello,

I filed in July. For some reason I thought it was sooner, but it took us a while to get the paperwork to the lawyer. There was a strike for several days in my husbands country hold up his ability to mail out his stuff.

Niether of my status have been update since the reciept number was issued, but i had already recieved my approval for my 130. rather early i thought. not complaining though. you would think i know everything since we are using a lawyer, but his assistant is not as knowledge and always is rude. three weeks ago we recieved the nvc bill for proof off income and another item. Does that mean my 129f was approved. my lawyer stated when i spoke to him that "THE GOVERNMENT SENDS US BACK A PACKAGE (YOU MAY CALL IT PACKAGE 3 OR WHATEVER YOU LIKE) REQUESTING THAT WE COMPLETE ALL IMMIGRANT VISA FORMS INCLUDING YOUR AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT AND ANY CO-SPONSORS. YOU WILL BE GETTING SOME ADDITIONAL QUESTIONNAIRES FROM US NEXT WEEK 3. WE SEND BACK TO GOVERNMENT 4. GOVERNMENT SENDS YOUR PACKAGE TO U.S. EMBASSY ABROAD. 5. EVENTUALLY YOUR HUSBAND WILL ATTEND AN INTERVIEW AT THE CONSULATE AND BE ISSUED A VISA. "

i never recieved the reciept number from the 129f so i called the law office get it, but never asked if had been approved. and the usc doesnt say anything, but neither does the 130 and i got the approval for that one.

Hello MrsJibowu,

Well you were approved very fast. However to answer your question, it appears that your I-129F has not been approved. NVC (National Visa Center) does not send out a bill for I-129F's. It appears you are going with your I-130 (CR1). Since your I-129F has not been approved, your I-130 was forwarded to NVC for processing. After you pay your bill, complete and send back the choice of agent form, send your I-864 to NVC and IV payment...after you complete all of these documents (which NVC will send out each at a time) that's when they send your case to your embassy. Your embassy will then send you an interview (I'm not sure how long this takes).

Hope this helps. Ohh by the way, you should ask for your I-129F receipt number and check the status of your case by calling USCIS.
