Hey guys,

My husband just called USCIS again after I told him of the recent rumors of USCIS cancelling K3s after July 30. This is what he just emailed me:

A very nice lady by the name of Officer Mangan today. Nothing exceptional. She said they are working on July 31/08. That does not mean and actual day it's a time frame. She said ours should be ajudicated very soon but it has not been assigned an officer yet. When it is assigned an officer things will go quick, either approval or RFE. I continued to ask questions and shew was very very polite ended our conversation with thank you very much thank you for your patience. She took my number and said she will be off phones tomorrow and will find our file to make certain it's in the correct location then call me and tell me whats up.?.!? Let's hope she actually calls!

This was due to all my I129F questions. She really was uncertain herself. It seems that yes any I129F application w/out fee (after july 31st) will be cancelled upon the approval of their I130. I said, so we will not be given an option between the Immigrant I130 and Non-immigrant K3 I129F? USCIS is going to make that choice for us? She was uncertain at that point! I said, we would have paid the fee if that was the case but USCIS waived the fees. She really didn't know after she thought about it from that perspective.

Also, I mentioned the Ghana person and Mexico person who have been approved with dates later than ours. She said did they have I129F K3's? I don't know? That could be the difference, she said. So the I129F NON IMMIGRANT process may have hurt rather than helped? Again she was unsure but said possibly!!!>:( This is why she is suppose to be looking into it for us and calling back tomorrow. I asked her to look into our file to see if the I129F has delayed us? She said okay.

This sounds like what Nita&Assad were told. I'm going to be really upset if we are FORCED to go the I-130 route and be away from my husband even longer. :(

write, exept it's code :)

I have friends who live in Brazil (USC) and return every year for the holidays. Here is what they do and have been doing for years. Upon arrival at the airport pay the federal police fine. I think its around 800 or 900 reais. Upon arrival in the US apply for a new passport claiming the USC passport was lost. Once the new passport arrives get a round trip ticket and head down to the Brazilian consolate. Brazil is still 40 to 140 years away from having any type of computer system that will show your husband overstayed. The RNE process is slow like anything, but you can get that protocol fairly quickly which will allow him to travel to Brazil.

M.

not as slow as USCIS

but let me see if I get this straight... they overstay, get a new passport every year, and go over the 6 months rule?

that's... fraud

All moral issues asside, I don't think I could go through all of that trouble

ok i just got off the phone with CSC. The person there told me that they are closing my I-129F because they are doing away with them since the I-130s are moving faster (LOL) and that once my K-3 is closed they will adjudicate my I-130 and I should check back in 2 weeks.

She also asked me if I paid a fee. I told her no

Hi all!!

I just received my letter from NVC stating that they have processed my I129F and the embassy in Jordan will receive the package within a week! It was dated Junuary 24, 2008.

I didn't get the DS230 or anything requesting Affadavit for Support. Is that normal?

Hi Rhonda,

You'll get your DS230 and Affidavit of Support when the embassy at Jordan forwards you the Packet after they receive the package from NVC.

At least your done with Part 1...off to Part 2 of the journey...Good luck!

Hello JULY Filers,

I can't believe there are still so many of you waiting to be approved...our I-129F was approved on November 20th! I specially don't understand how they are cancelling K3's. It seems odd how USCIS doesn't follow the same procedures and guidelines with everyone.

Anyways, best of luck in the rest of your journeys.

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering how can I sign up to get email Notifications from USCIS regarding both my Petitions I-130 & I-129F, I tried to search the whole web site and I can not find how to do this.. I get normal notification when the web site in general is updated but not how to get Individual status email, like everyone seems to have when they mention “touched”. Any help would be Great! I am going CRAZY with all this waiting. I haven't been able to go see my Husband in one year :crying: and I thought I would enjoy this forum for support.

Look forward to anyone's help!

Thank you

Nita

hi and welcome

go to uscis home on the left you will find case status online, create then new account and ad there your cases by number. our tuches are not emails but date updates.also please ad your timline .

Well I created an account in USCIS to receive email updates for my K1 visa and not once did I receive any email. I received my NOA2 last Nov8, and has been forwarded to NVC (still waiting for them to receive it or enter in their system), but until now I have not received one single email from USCIS; does the site actually email updates to the cases? I have a personal email account (not web-based) so I know that it won't be marked spammed or junk ..

hello i am new here i just wanna know how to post something where i can see my photo and my timeline as well???

Hi Duende,

You are not alone. There are still quite a few July filers waiting for approvals. My husband has just finished writing up a letter to send to his congressman/senator. He has asked his family in Ohio to do the same. It's "only" been a little over 6 months, but we are not going to wait any longer to get people involved. We really don't want to be in the same place 7,8,9 months after our NOA1...

Hang in there.
