What changes do you think she'll make that will be disastrous?

Raising taxes, socialized health care, expanding of the nanny state, the fact she can't make up her mind on the war on terror, ect.... I can't name one thing she has said she would do that I agree with in fact.

Couldn't you say the same thing about any of the other Democratic candidates?

To some degree or another, yes. But Hillary is all those (IMO) bad things all rolled up into one. It's not just her politics (which is bad enough) but she is so un-likable in every way. I don't see her as putting the countries needs first but as someone that places her own desire for power first. I just don't trust her at all and her gender has nothing to do with it.

I don't trust any candidate, Dem or Rep. And certainly not our current joke of a Pres. Ain't life a b*tch?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: There are more than two families in this country that have President material in them.

US Presidents since 1988: Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton-and then what - Jeb just to have a Bush again?

** that.

The Clinton Family is hardly a dynasty the way the Bush family or the Kennedy's have been.

Trust is on a continuous spectrum and, IMO, it'd be foolish for any American to blindly trust any one single politician, which then goes back to policy. I'm just trying to figure out why she gets your panties in twist moreso than say, Obama or Edwards. If it's merely partisan ranting then I can understand ....you probably were just as vile about Kerry. You hate her because she's the frontrunner and she has a really good shot at being elected President, correct?

Well, we know Fred has a snowball's chance, THANK GOD.

Hillary can't win because they are too many people who just don't like her.

A very large number of people hate Bush almost as irrationally as some people hate Hilary - yet he was elected twice. Trust me, it can happen especially if the current Republican candidates are the best on offer.

If she wins the nomination, she will be President. Thats why the news of the Obama surge in Iowa is so exciting to me. Just when I thought there was no hope...

I think that's right. I'm pretty much firmly in the Obama camp; I'd hold my nose and vote for Hillary in the general, but I really wouldn't be happy about it.

Otherwise, people, if you refer to Hillary as a b!tch constantly, that does make you a little bit sexist. If you want to insist that you're not sexist, try not using loaded sexist language. It's just not parallel with ####### or other gender neutral derogatory terms. Otherwise it's like referring to Obama as 'that uppity n--' and insisting that it has nothing to do with race because you haven't actually called for a lynching.

Shut up woman & get in the kitchen!;)

If Hillary becomes President in 2008, the US will have had two families at the helm for at least a quarter of a century: The Bushs and the Clintons.

Dynasty or not, this would seriously stink.

Prescott Bush (1895-1972), U.S. Senator and financier

-his son, George H. W. Bush, U.S. President 1989–1993

--his son, George W. Bush, U.S. President 2001–present

--his son, John Ellis "Jeb" Bush, Governor of Florida 1999–2007 (the state that 'won' the election for his brother)

or

Bill Clinton - 42nd President of the United States, 1993 – 2001

Hillary Rodham Clinton, Junior Senator, 2001-present

Proving what point? That the Clinton's ain't a dynasty? I don't remember disputing that. Hence, there was nothing to prove.

Reinhard, I just don't see the point in fussing about it. She's running and she's leading in the polls. She's not my first or even second choice, but she'll make one hell of a better President than the one in the White House now. And once she's in office - it's not like she becomes Queen. She will have to forge a partnership with Congress, both the Dems and the Republicans. That's the beauty of our system - the presidential powers are limited, no matter how hard Bush tries to pretend otherwise. ;)

I don't think this system is particuraly beautiful honestly.

Queens are largely symbolic and in my opinion, the president should be too. :P

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I am not fussing, I am voicing my discontent about the state of affairs in this country. Surely, there are more than two families with Presidential material in them, no? If so, then I think a breath of fresh air would be quite welcome. I don't think Hillary is inevitable. My vote won't go to her unless the only alternative is irresponsible to consider. I just don't like her. She can't (well, she could but she won't until she's confirmed how the polls are going) answer simple yes or no questions. That's not Presidential material to me.

If she ends up being the nominee and then gets elected President, I think a lot of people will be surprised with her job performance and they quickly forget their animosity towards her.

I think a lot of people will be surprised with how little change she will deliver and quickly lose their admiration for her.
